If you have a pt on a payment plan....kindly offer them information regarding payment options and that this bill cannot be added to balance and needs to be financed. What a mess. One they charged over 1000$ for soft liners on my dentures, and then when i went in for an adjustment that is supposed to be included with the denture, heck no it isnt included, they charged 100+$ for each time i went in there to get it done, then i went in to get a soft liner for an upper denture, well they charged for a lower also and i tried to contact insurance about it and they ignored it, this company or family business is a con, for some reason they can come up with a way to ultra charge your insurance for services they didnt give you, 100+$ for a visit that was less than 5-10min to pick up dentures and stuff. Be extra careful, after i seen all these outrageous charges on my insurance, basically over 4k$ for 1 set of dentures with no free adjustments after getting them and then ask for another 300+$, then magically this private business can get a whole new parking lot and all the bricks redone on their building shortly after i went and gotten my dentures done, wonder how many people they been ultra charging underneath peoples noses, heck i would not have known about all these extra charges until i had a bill show up at my house, i havent had a bill in over 20yrs as i am smart enough to know not to go over my insurance limit but somehow this man and this home business can drain your insurance and get away with it, be extremely aware please.

Keep in mind, I have dental insurance and all the procedures should've been covered. I called the manager Elizabeth after receiving the first bill. She said that she would resubmit the claim to my insurance. I then received another bill for the full amount 30 days later. I called Elizabeth again, this time she told me I had to call the insurance company and figure out why my claim hasn't processed and paid. She said that it's not her job to figure out what my policy covers. I asked her what the EOB stated regarding no payment. She LIED and said that they don't receive EOB's(a doc which explains why a claim paid or didn't). This is medical billing 101. Health insurance companies always notify the provider with an Explanation of Benefit. I called my insurance and confirmed my procedures are covered. The rep also confirmed that they always notify the provider on how a claim processed and paid and whether any lines denied. Even more, the rep confirmed that Merit dental submitted ONLY ONE procedure code instead of all four. I will not be returning because of the horrible/unprofessional interaction with the manager. You leave truly feeling like they appreciate having you as a patient. Everyone, from the front desk to the dental hygienist, dentist and check-out staff are super nice. (And they don't beat you to pieces if you haven't flossed as well as you should have). My daughter drove 2 hrs one way for her dental appointment last week, needed extra dental work and they worked her in so that she wouldn't have to make an extra drive on another day. Who accommodates you like that anymore??? Plus, they accept a variety of insurances. I've had Delta Dental and BCBS Dental and they accept both. I went in for my appointment today and a gentleman came in and asked them if they would accept his Prudential insurance. She explained that they were working on becoming a preferred provider just because that one patient had he insurance. He thanked her and said that he wouldn't go anywhere else, even if they couldn't work it out with the insurance. He is nonjudgmental and unbiased. Serving patients from all walks of life. His bed side manner is perfect for children as well. Before I solely wanted my children to see a Pediatric dentist. Now I have all of my children as patients at his office. Did I mention I have 5 kids and their office came up with an efficient schedule to see all of them without multiple appointments. I have yet to do any cosmetic procedures but I have one that I will be setting up soon and will definitely give a review on the outcome. Dr. Adam is also training in sleep study! At my visit he was asking me questions regarding my energy level. How tired I feel constantly and feel as though I never fully went to sleep. I'm eager to learn more about this process. I was impressed with his knowledge and versatility. It was like he knew when I sat down what was going on. It is so hard to find health professionals that really care about their patients. They took enough x-rays to make me glow in the dark. Then the dentist examined my teeth. She said that she found several cavities and one was almost to the nerve. It was a tooth that already had a filling. I don't know if it continued to form or what. But I didn't get to see my x-rays except for one picture. The dental plan she had made out for me came up to almost $4000!! And that's not including having my two teeth pulled. They said that because of my root being curved, I needed to see an oral surgeon. That would be extra. I agreed to it and put down a large deposit. After I got home, I thought I had better get my tooth taken care of before the rest of it breaks. I called and canceled my appointments and asked for a refund minus the exam and x-rays. The doctor and staff are nice but I didn't like being pressured to have more work done than what I asked for. I'm 59 years old and am just getting ready to have a lower dentures installed. I don't like going to the dentist because of a childhood experience with a dentist that was afraid of using a little bit of novaicane and nitrous oxide.
