We said we would just go and see if they'll let us go in and take pictures quickly. I paid for a ticket to the pumpkin patch for $5 at 4:30 on the dot. The woman who charged me didn't mention anything about closing soon or a time limit. I continued to the pumpkin patch where I handed my ticket to a young girl who again did not say anything about closing soon/etc. There was actually a good amount of people in there when I arrived. My friend and I started taking pictures for about 10 minutes before the young girl told us she let us stay late and that we now had to leave. When we said they closed at 5, and it wasn't 5, she said they close at 4:30 and that she already let us stay late and she has to leave. We argued back saying we literally bought our tickets at 4:30 and gave them to her then and she never said anything. I get it if you're closed, but why not say something ahead of time and then rush us at the last minute. Really did not like that. Will not be returning.

This family owned farmers market is in it's own small building. It was very interesting to me because this is the first place I found that sells raw milk. It is not something I personally drink but advocates claim that the pasteurization of milk destroys the nutrients, enzymes, and good bacteria. Benefits of raw milk may include more nutrients, improved digestion, and enhanced immune function. Others believe that the benefits are outweighed by health risks associated with consuming raw dairy products. The raw products sold here state they are not for human consumption. In addition to raw milk they also sell raw milk kefir, raw yogurt, raw cheese, raw butter, and raw milk ice cream. Other products they sell include organic produce grown in Southwest Ranches, local honey, hormone free and grass fed meat and seafood, farm fresh eggs, bath and beauty products, bread, and fresh made key lime pies. Staff was on hand to helpfully answer customers questions. I do believe that food is medicine and that it can heal you. This market subscribes to that philosophy. It is a niche for people who don't mind paying more to know where there food comes from, want clean ingredients, or are into a particular lifestyle choice. If you are looking for a large selection or inexpensive prices, this is probably not for you but I enjoyed my visit.

Well, look no more! This is it! Little known fact - when you buy non-organic options at whole foods, they are sprayed with pesticides. Urban Farmer sources as locally as possible to reduce their carbon footprint, and they have established relationships with the farms they source from, so they know there are no pesticides or GMOs. Run by a husband and wife team, urban farmer pops up every Friday and Saturday like the long lost Scottish town from Brigadoon. When you walk into their space on Dixie highway you're immediately greeted with some of the freshest stuff you could ask for. It only arrived a day before you did! You can select items from the farm table or purchase a one-time walk-in share. A HALF share netted me 3 cucumbers, red kale, swiss chard, lychees, grape tomatoes, 5 ears of corn, a huge vidalia onion, green beans, and a few other items for only $35. I immediately signed up for a weekly half-share. We are going to eat like healthy kings! This fruit and vegetable "stand" has great prices, nice staff and a really large selection. I was able to skip the grocery store this weekend because I got all the fruits and veggies at Jamie's. I was told that they are open Thursday - Sunday from about 8 AM - 4 PM. Jamie himself suggested that the next time I come back, I should get there first thing in the morning for the best selection of local produce. Not sure if this Miami girl will make it up to Broward that early on the weekend, but a great tip for early risers out there. To get to Garden of Eden: it's between Sheridan and Stirling west of 95.
