Our dear parents/parents-in-law passed away within two hours of one another, and from the Leber staff's very first interactions with the family, we knew we were in the best of hands. Every single person that we or our siblings emailed or met during this painful time was warm, kind, compassionate, and patient. The funeral home itself is beautiful, tasteful, and comfortable. It really did FEEL like a home, with several seating areas for conversations and water and coffee available during the entire wake. The staff turned our family photos into banners, a large poster, a wonderful slideshow, laminated cards, a lovely keepsake leaflet for all the guests, and even a blanket (!) that brightened the room and added so much color and personality. They took care of every detail, including submitting to the local newspapers the obituaries the family had written. They directed the pall bearers expertly both at the church service and at the burial site. Everything was done with such care and compassion from beginning to end and we can't thank them enough.

Some of the elderly had to be helped with the entry steps, I'm not sure if they have a handicap entrance available on the other side that I missed. I'm not sure this was originally designed as a funeral home, it felt almost more like a home that had been renovated to fit the funeral at some point due to the design inside. Or maybe that was their point? Was here for the funeral of an educator and parking was scarce in the lot, fortunately the family had notified the town for a police officer so they could help direct the traffic in front. Many students and teachers came, and parking was filled up on the street for blocks around. The line extended well out to the corner of the street, but the funeral home was kind to keep allowing folks to come in even though it was well past the end 8:00 p.m. time for the viewing. No photos, as I felt it would be inappropriate here. As I did not interact with the staff, I would highly recommend a visit before making any decisions.

The property and all its details are so thoughtfully decorated. All maintenance and facilities are so highly done as to instill high confidence. We chose the "Clearview" niches which have a clear view of the ground soutside, as the name implies. The famously beautiful views from the hills of Ridge across the Watchung Mountains towards the south and west are childhood faves for me and lifelong faves for my father so we are so totally comforted that he shall forever look out to the beloved area. It means a lot to us that the staff exhibit the care to make the view happen with perfect beauty daily. Thank you to all the staff for so much compassion and care for our father's resting place. We visit regularly to accompany him and also to enjoy his new surroundings together.
