Original post: Josh was very thorough, professional and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend…read more 5/5. Update as of 5/10/24: I used their services again in Feb 2024 because half of the power went out in my house. A different Mr. Electric technician came and diagnosed the issue as one of the "legs" not working. The entire right side of my breaker wasn't working due to the error. The technician advised me to reach out to my electricity service provider, so I did and they were able to correct the outage issue. I was provided a handwritten note on the back of a scrap of paper from Mr Electric's technician detailing the reason for the outage (one "leg" not working) and an official invoice that just said "diagnostics". No other distinguishable information was listed on the official invoice. I needed a specific official document detailing what service was done and what was diagnosed so that I could seek reimbursement from my electrical provider. When I called Mr Electric to inquire about additional documentation, I was told that there was none. Also, the technician that came in Feb 2024, no longer worked for the company. A male got on the phone and informed me that the technician was separated due his poor performance and did not leave on good terms. I was then given the former employee's personal cell phone number to reach out to him directly to get the information that I needed. I asked why would I reach out to him, if he no longer worked for the company. I need an official document stating what was diagnosed. Common sense should tell you that he couldn't provide that because he doesn't work for the company anymore! I was being told just anything to get off the phone. This is unacceptable and disappointing. Mr. Electric is way too expensive to have such poor documentation. Also, releasing an employee's reason of separation and personal information is a huge HR "no no". Very unprofessional and could lead to lawsuits. I will not be using their services again.

I do not recommend having your AC's worked on by Comfort Air in Hammond, LA. They were hired to fix…read moreboth of my AC units (upstairs and downstairs, separately) by my home warranty company. The individual technicians were both very nice men who worked for HOURS on our AC units both times; however on both occasions, they were called to fix a condensation leak in the unit; and when they left BOTH TIMES the entire unit was no longer cooling AKA still leaking, not cooling, and jobs left incomplete. Being AC-less in the summer in Louisiana is a real drag, and then waiting for Comfort Air to sort out all the issues between themselves and our home warranty company meant weeks without one of our AC units working. Both times, a follow-up appointment had to be made by a different AC company to fix the mess that Comfort Air left us in. Unfixed AC's aside, while fixing the upstairs AC unit, they got black soldering dust on every surface within 10 feet near the unit and it was left that way. While fixing the downstairs unit, the technician walked through my house with some kind of putty/caulk/thick grey substance all over his shoes and it now seems to be a permanent fixture in my rugs and on my front porch. Y'all have some work to do, Comfort Air. :(

On October 7, 2025, Comfort Air installed a new HVAC system in my home. The work was shoddy at…read morebest. They caused a small fire in my attic. My family was displaced for 2 days waiting for the smoke/smell to clear. While working on the unit an employee of Comfort Air fell through the ceiling. A repairman was sent out to make the repair to the ceiling. It was a rushed job and the 'repair' is highly visible. My main complaint is now, 7 months later, my AC unit is failing. I had another company come out to diagnosis the issue. To my absolute horror, it was discovered that the repair was NOT up to code. MULTIPLE steps were skipped. The original 45 year old copper pipe that supports an R22 was not replaced. It was in fact soldered to the new system and is not large enough to support current models. The duct box is approximately 1/3 the size it should be. The coupling connecting the internal unit to the external unit was crimped into place. The original rusted out 45 year old drain pan and float were not replaced. The float is not functioning at all. The combination of all these factors is causing strain on my AC system. The fan will not shut off. The condenser is not responsive. The humidity is extremely high. Moisture is collecting on the walls of my hall bathroom. The door to the bathroom is buckling. The heat is oppressive. Again, my family is displaced while we wait for repairs. Because the unit was replaced so late in the year after humidity and temperatures started dropping, this problem did not become evident until last week (May 6, 2026). This company also made the local news for STEALING a customer's condenser after they incorrectly installed a unit in her home. Their track record is evident. They need to be SHUT DOWN
