They also disassembled and re-assembled a large, complicated treadmill. Highly efficient, respectful and courteous. Five stars.

None these fees were mentioned ahead of time *My husband Scott and I are senior citizens and disabled so require assistance with our move *The mover guys were pleasant and hard working.. We offered them ice water because it was hot that day in June *The individual below was not at the location, so has no idea what happen, except by hearsay *We move our two bedroom apartment of HHG 2.5 miles through the north side of Ramsey street *Faithful movers had to load and unload twice due to the size of their truck adding time to the move, that we payed for. The movers ended up leaving half a room of furniture at our prior location. Not because of our pets, but because they were obviously tired and told us they needed to drive to NY. We had to pay another to move it because we are senior citizen. Veterans and senior citizens. We paid the movers a whopping $1065 total for the move. $100 of that was for connection and disconnection of washer and dryers. That seems like a lot, doesn't it ? We thought so. Esp for move a two bed room 2.5 Miles. That does include tax. We were refunded $50 for the dryer not connected at out new Home. But that was after numerous nasty messages through this app. I was call a racist, malicious and a psycho and my husband was called delusion. How's that for Christian Behavior and customer service ? We filed a damage claim on a nice mahogany chair which the finish received a large gouge on the arm, through the finish and into the wood. I sent her pictures. Faithful movers refused the claim for a whole $27. and sent one picture taken at our new location. Where our the others she Claims ? The 27 4x8 glossy dated and time stamped photos proving her claim? ? She never produced them to NCUC, never. . All that effort just to not pay us $27! I called the NC utilities commission asking for assistance. Faithful movers confused the mediators by highlighting damaged items for their list of our items damaged prior to the move and claiming one was the item in question. They the refused the claim and asked me to sign a disclaimer removing my YELP reviews for the $27, then I was offered $50 !!!! I didn't sign it,but I still have it. To distract from misconduct Faithful movers spins the tale that I'm a racist and used racist language to our movers. We know that's ridiculous and a diversion tactic to make me seem like a despicable shrew. Again, the author of that was NOT in either home during the move - at all, ever! As any dear YELPER knows, it is against STANDARDS of CONDUCT to even attempt to buy away a review. So, I refused to sign and reported her to YELP - who removed her comments !! Disregarding that we live in a free country, have freedom of speech and that this, dear YELPERS is a PUBLIC FORUM - open to praise or criticism of the Company highered - Faithful movers has threatened to sue me for my speech - because we live in a free country - I'm still here. Faithful movers comment below tells the truth about her customer service style - blame the customer. This, fellow YELPERS, is not an attempt to "scandalize" a Business but only to review - a process that she opened her business up to when she signed up for free advertising on YELP.

NEVER WORK WITH NEW ERA RELOCATION OR GOLD STANDARD RELOCATION!!!!…read more Please save yourself the HUGE mistake and don't work with this company. My brother, Adam, recently moved from MN TO FL. This company quoted him $2,583 to move his apartment to Florida. He had his wife stay at the apartment during the pick-up and the bill quickly almost tripled! They told his wife that it would be an additional $4,400 for the move. They didn't provide them with a bill- the only reason they knew of the bill breakdown is because she took a picture of the bill. Completely unprofessional. They only left them with a chicken-scratch household inventory list that was completely inaccurate. They added boxes and items, and took items that weren't on that list. They didn't walk through the extra prices with my brother or his wife AT ALL. The didn't provide an invoice. Nothing. They left and then told them that they would be unable to deliver their things unless they paid the remaining amount in full. In the breakdown they charged my brother 2,000 for packing & labor- for packing a glass top table up. Just that table. Two thousand! Then they charged them for a long-carry to the apartment building. That was because they chose to park further away from the building and never asked or talked about this "long-carry" and just added it to the tab. This supposedly starts at $150- and they were charged $675. They then added so much cubic feet charges- that specific charge was over double the estimated cubic ft charge. I understand little of additional charge- but they claimed that we had "way more stuff than the initially claimed". That's not true. They just didn't ask for any dimensions or specifics- so the quote was COMPLETELY off. I tried to work with the broker company that set them up with this particular moving company and they barely did anything. The broker's customer service manager "worked" with New Era and got some of the charges down by $1,200. We were still not happy with this pricing as it was still over double the amount of the quote. We told the broker this, and he offered us a whopping $100 refund. Gee, thanks. Then we quickly realized it was hush money and basically a non-disclosure agreement to not defame the company on the Internet or in reviews. Wow. The story only gets worse. After we talked with the broker's the moving company quickly jumped on getting the possessions to Florida, even though they knew my brother couldn't afford the price. They said that they could either get the payment in full in order to have his things delivered, or put the things in storage at my brother's cost. So essentially they are screwed either way. My brother got help from family to pay this extra $3,250. The broker manager told us we should not have any other up-charges and if we did, we should call the customer service emergency number. The night before they were supposed to move the things in, they called my brother at 9pm, saying that they couldn't fit the semi-truck next to their apartment building, so they would need to pay an additional $1,200 to get a shuttle truck to their building. You can imagine how furious we were. It went back to the original cost. They knew we couldn't pay that. They knew. We called the customer service line- and they said they couldn't help us. They said they would look into fixing the situation, but never called us back. We called them. The next morning my brother got a rental moving truck, and the moving company quickly scurried. They told my brother that they could probably fit the semi in. Then they changed their mind and said they would still need the shuttle. My brother told them he got a truck and that they could transfer their things into the truck. Much to their surprise, they actually agreed to that, but they had only ONE MOVER help with this process. One person. Clearly, they were never intending to move my brother's belongings into their apartment. What a joke. Furniture items were also damaged past repair. NEVER WORK WITH NEW ERA RELOCATION OR GOLD STANDARD RELOCATION! Save yourself the nightmare.

This company is awful. They quoted me a price for our move and checked in with us a couple days…read morebefore the move. Nothing changed between that checkin and our pickup, but somehow we were suddenly $1000 over their initial estimate. Either they lowball the estimates to up-charge customers later, or the database they use to estimate moving costs is way off. They also add on extra fees. The movers were late on both pickup and drop off. The company told me it usually takes 1-10 days to receive a delivery, but it actually took 21 BUSINESS DAYS. We were without furniture for nearly a month. If they don't have another scheduled dropoff/pickup in your area they'll hold onto your things until the very last minute so that they don't have to send the truck back empty. It's all a money grab. Oh, and the communication is terrible. No one answers the phone and they'll never give you updates on your drop off unless you pester them constantly. We didn't find out when our stuff would arrive until 4 hours before it got here. And many of our boxes turned up crushed. Truly terrible in every way. DO NOT USE THEM.
