I know....don't ask... Obviously, I was mortified!! I told the staff about what happened and they weren't very surprised but they said they'll clean it up. Last week we went again and guess what, the bird was still there!! Totally unacceptable! The staff totally ignored that bird, the smell (ugh) or the fact that kids are playing next to a health hazard.

What a blast. I loved it!!…read more I was lucky enough the other night to get a ticket for the adults night and had such a good time. I thought when I saw the tickets were valued at £29 that it was a bit on the expensive side, but it was 4hours of solid fun. Kidzania is really aimed at children aged 7-11. It's to give them a sample of working life in a fun way. It's informative, plus they can earn money for some roles, and have to pay to do some fun things. On arrival we were greeted with a glass of Prosecco, in a mock up British Airways check-in area. This was alos where you could check bags etc in that you did not want to lug around. After going through the metal detector, you are greeting by the sight of a mini city on two levels. It's a really big space, with about 60 jobs and experiences to choose from. Unfortunately it seems that only 8 people at a time can do the roles, so you need to plan your time well, as you could find yourself spending most of the 4 hours waiting in line. There were some other yelpers there, so we decided that the first thing we would do, would be the chocolate making with Cadbury's as we had been tipped off that this was popular and gets busy later on during the session. It was fun we then went next door to make an All Natural Honey Nut bar. The real fun for me started when we went downstairs. Elisa T and i first tried our hands at being couriers. We had to collect parcels from the jewellers and British Airways, as well as bleed from the hospital, which we then had to return everything to base.We than ah a go at being police officers. Our briefing was interupted by the news of a fire at a nearby hotel. We had to dash over and stop people crossing the tape securing the disaster area. Our next role was to be security guards, collecting large ampounts of money from various businesses. This was followed by the longest wait, which was to be a firefighter. This was a hoot, going the the fire scene in a miniture fire engine. We are got to hose the fire out at the scene of the fire. Our last role was to be paramedics, where we returned to the fire scene to attend the wounded and burnt victims. Again we arrive at the scene in a miniture ambulance. It really was a fun evening. You do have to throw yourself into the role playing to get the most out of it. I'm already planning to visit again with friend when they hold another adults evening. It was a hoot!

The really cool thing about this place is that there is no time limit during the week, so your kid can play there all day ( well, from 10:00 - 18.00). During the weekend its super busy and the kids can only play for max 2 hours- thats why we like to go during week days. There is also a Cafe area for the adults with free Wi-Fi, toy shops, organic food, drinks, coffee etc. The staff is nice but they have a couple of ladies that remind me of witches and they look very bored with their lives. One of them can be quite rude sometimes. They organise birthday parties ( with different themes-dinosaurs, hello kitty etc) and they have all kinds of deals. The parties include meals and party bags. Other facilities include separate children's toilets, disabled toilets, baby changing room and pram park. They provide baby bouncers and high chairs. A great place for local families with young children and a great place for kids to burn off their energy when the weather outside is sucky.

Usually around this time of year is also very cold so bundle up. The place is a fair and a Christmas market all in one. The fair has many rides for all, from toddler to young adult to more mature. The rides use tokens/tickets and those can be purchased there or beforehand as well. They have some pretty nice thrills but if roller coasters and that kind of stuff is not your thing, not to worry, they have other fun rides that are not as intimidating, and lots of games to test your luck. The market is full of items that can be gifted for the holidays, and they have food all throughout the park, BUT they also have areas where you can sit to have a drink, and yes an adult drink haha with love music and bands, and this is probably top3 for me to do there, you feel some kind of brother/sisterhood sitting there next to strangers bonding over classic songs. This place also includes, an ice sculpture area and a circus ! Truly so much to do here, that if possible, you need at least 2 days to soak it all in. The weekends are super packed so if you don't like crowds, probably best to visit during the week. Prices are moderate and reasonable but you don't have to break bank, they usually have deals online to choose from, that best fits what your visit would look like. On the far side there's a book shelf and reading corner as well as a sensory room fully darkened with just a few colour changing light sources.
