When he finished up the 5-week course by telling the most talented and passionate performer in the class that she displayed "the most terrible acting (he) had seen all year", we all reached the mutual consensus that we wasted $350 and learned way more from each other than we did from the instructor. The word tossed around after class was "crazy", and I am sure that the 7 of us who took it will never take another of his classes again.

Brianne's style is a "Tell you like it is!" method, meaning to sober up anyone with visions of grandeur of what the industry is all about and what you as an actor can expect. We prepared monologues for class, after the first half was spent in lecture on the Stanford Meisner approach and audition protocols, and how to meet industry expectations. I learned new things about myself, which is helping me develop a stronger foundation and preparation for opportunities. Brianne has been acting since she was five, actress, and director of plays, and a professor at a local college. (Visit her FB page.) The course is on Tremont Street in the city, so bring your quarters or take public transportation. Near the NE Medical Center/Orange Line Stop. And walking distance from both NEMC and Back Bay.

Our oldest son just finished his first year of preschool in the 3-day program at Belmont Coop. We…read moreabsolutely love the school. The director and the teachers are so engaged with the kids and its an incredibly warm and welcoming community. We originally visited the school when it was located in Cushing Square. The space was fun and interactive but the new space has really allowed the school to grow in both capacity and programming. It's bright and sunny with plenty of room for more creative play and planned activities. It has an adjacent playground as well as a nearby park for more lengthy outdoor activities. The school provides several special activities which our son loves. Habitat, the Mass Audubon education center, regularly visits his class and provides hands-on exposure to the local fauna. They are also regularly visited by Hugh Hanley, a local musician who leads an hour of song and story telling. These are particularly fun days to be a parent helper in the classroom. Since this was our first foray into school for our son, we are very glad we chose a coop program. It allows us to see our son in his school environment and better understand his development and how we can help shape his growth both at school and home. We also get to know and work with other parents and families in the area. The teachers provide regular feedback which is encouraging and helpful. We particularly love the director who is constantly in the rooms with each group of kids and consistently checks in with us. I would highly recommend this school to anyone but would strongly urge families to look into the program sooner rather than later as the school regularly has a wait list.

I agree with the previous reviewer - the leadership and teaching staff at this school are amazing…read more My twin boys had a wonderful year in the 3-day class as their first out-of-home experience, and we all loved it. Everyone on the teaching staff is extremely committed, detail-oriented, and caring. They are working really hard to create a fun, engaging environment, and to make sure that every child is included and enjoying the experience. The classroom is organized thoughtfully, with an impressive range of activities always available to the children plus daily curriculum plans that include developmentally appropriate and seasonal enrichment activities, and also the year's enrichment activities from outside visitors included theater, music, yoga, and art. There is always so much going on at this school, and yet it manages to feel comfortable and homelike for the kids. We have also really appreciated the co-op aspect of it, since we recently moved to the area from out-of-state. The school has a wonderful mix of families and they have all been very welcoming. This school feels like a close-knit family with teaching geniuses at the helm. I love it, the kids love it, and I can't believe we were lucky enough to find it.

So my 5 year old occasionally joins for the day when her school is on holiday. I am so relieved and happy that I found MSLA!

All 3 of our kids have enjoyed their time at Kindercare in Sharon. The teachers are attentive to…read morethe unique needs of each of our kids, they have assisted with various different developmental stages and transitions. The teachers are forthcoming when they notice signs the kids may be ready to take on something new, such as starting solid foods as an infant, to removing pacifier as a toddler, potty training, etc. At each stage, they discussed if we wanted their assistance with this transitional phase and supported our kids while providing feedback to us on progress or challenges. They provide breakfast, lunch and snacks; aside from being a huge benefit to us as parents, we've noticed it has increased the kids interest to try new foods as their friends are all eating the same thing. Their director is hands down the best! She has been incredibly communicative with us, works with each family's unique circumstances and children's needs. Their curriculum evolves monthly and balances education, play, arts and free time. With so many options to choose from daycares to preschools in the area, we can highly recommend Kindercare.

My daughter is going to be 5yrs old in october; so she misses kindergarten this year. But with Kindercares curriculum for Pre-K im not worried. I full intend to sigh my daughter up when the spring comes to give her that extra step up in learning. My daughter loved all the kids that go there, she has many friends does tons of art but most of all she loves her teachers. The teachers & Staff are all friendly, professional, & fun. They work with you if you have questions or special request for your child. I highly recommend them and will be sad when my daughter starts kindergarten next year. But we will be back to visit. Kindercares age range is fro 6weeks- pre-k and they even do aftercare.

We switched from a different daycare and Primrose is head and shoulders above. I did not want to write this review, in fact 4 months ago I contacted Primrose corporate to provide…read morethis feedback and all they did was forward it to the center with zero intention of actually helping them. They were was nice and responsive when we were first signing up. We could not see the place due to Covid, which was not a huge deal. However, as soon as we signed up and they had my deposit, it seemed as though every question I had annoyed them. Once we started, it got worse. While they were always very responsive, I felt like I was talked to like a moron. I do have a traumatic brain injury and I don't remember things as well as others but the way they spoke to me was not acceptable. I became afraid of asking questions, something that no parent should ever be. Certainly not the kindness that Primrose preaches for its students. A few weeks in, I was ready to cut my losses and run. However, my daughter was doing OK and we decided to stick out the year. I do want to point out that safety and Covid protocol was AWESOME. The teachers were also great but the turnover was insane. While I understand some turnover my daughter had 5-6 different assistant teachers in her 9 months there. I could not even tell you how many teachers she had since we were not always kept up to date on who the teacher was/when teachers left etc. While we were always required to (and did) follow the rules it seems as though the center itself didn't need to follow their own rules and keep us up to date on changes to teachers. This year my daughter is constantly afraid when new teachers come in her new school's classroom, she seems to literally traumatized by the revolving door of teachers from last year. In the time we were there I received zero calls about my daughter having a behavior or sickness issue, we are not a problematic family. However, I never received her evaluations on time and I had to wait months and escalate before I got them. One evaluation they sent her home with some other kid's report and I sent it back and asked for ours, which I got 3 months later. To top it all off, you are not allowed to speak to teachers or other parents. You can't have their contact info (even with permission) and the app they use goes right to the main office and teachers aren't allowed to respond. It wasn't until they realized that we were going to leave as soon as the school year was over that they started being nice again. But honestly, I could not do another year at the school as a parent even though the Private K program was perfect for us. I know this school is still pretty new to the area and I think eventually the way parents (and my guess is teachers given the turnover) are treated is going to catch up with it. It's a shame because the education and program that Primrose has is awesome.
