She have created an effective platform for women to connect with themselves to channel their inner beauty. She is alert and present in all of her privates and focuses on individual growth. She will take as much time as needed to perfect technique and expression. She has reminded me why I dance and how dance is therapeutic. There are multiple reasons to dance, and everyone dances for a different reason. This is why Brinn is so unique, she understands everyone has different goals and doesn't try to lock each dancer into a mold. She helps you realize your goals through her method. You don't have to be a professional industry dancer, you just have to come with passion (and heels lol). She's extremely patient and cares about your progress. She's a great dance educator and I'm thankful for the safe space she has created for us all to get in touch with our true self.

This class popped up on my Facebook thanks to a mutual friend. I read the description and it…read moresounded up my alley. I used to love dancing but I never wanted to do it competitively. Every dance class I took as a young girl was about showing off and doing competitions and leading up to drill team try outs. I hated that pressure when dance was just supposed to be something I wanted to do for fun and didn't feel I was good enough to do seriously anyway. For years I told people I would encounter that I missed dance but didn't want to venture to any place that would end up feeling like I was at Millenium. I just wanted a fun class where I wouldn't worry people were judging what I wore or that I might be behind a count or not nailing one particular step. Enter Reclaim. Drea leads class with a confidence, a patience & open ear, and a gentleness. I don't always find myself getting steps easily and her method of teaching is easy to follow, but she will always help if you have questions. I love that our music choices even in warm ups are female Artists to add to the empowerment of it being a females only class. Separately from that, as someone who has PTSD and a few other disorders, I find her encouragement within these classes to embrace our bodies for all their imperfections and flaws, to let go of the trauma of past events, and the overflow of love among classmates (most of whom are strangers with a common bond) a combination of everything I had been searching for in a dance class. I feel safe here. I feel recharged here. I have fun here. And I'm genuinely saddened when I have to miss a class. What are you waiting for? Reclaim!

I had no prior dance experience (aside from high school) but felt at ease and comfortable throughout the whole class. Instead of it being about perfection and competition, its about inspiration and being the best YOU without any judgement. I will definitely try to attend as many of these classes as possible and spreading the word to all of my friends!

Denise is a fabulous teacher. I've been following her mostly for about the last two years (I have…read morebeen to see her in a little over a month due to personal scheduling issues, but I can't wait to get back!). She has her classes broken up by level, so you never have to feel awkward (trust me this is helpful, I almost fell over in my first class because I can be so uncoordinated). She leads the class in a series of fun and beautiful motions to stretch, and then moves onto short bit of choreography and drill work to perfect your form. You can either pay a drop in fee per class or buy monthly packages at different rates, so the payments are flexible, which is great for a single mom like me. She generally takes cash or personal checks. If you're not a natural dancer, you'll feel silly for a while, and then one day in class you'll realize that you are actually a dancer! Denise finds a way to tap into the grace and femininity of even the most bumbling of students (hello me!). In order to allow her students the performance experience, she also expends huge amounts of effort to put on a student expo show annually, so that students can perform at a live venue and invite their friends and family to admire their hard work. Check out her website for class schedules. **Denise: I can't wait to see you soon! XOXO

Where has this hidden gem been all my life!…read more For all my salsa/bachata lovers out there, this place is legit! Such a fun and diverse group of dancers just there to have a great time! They offer lessons every Thursday for salsa (8pm) and bachata (8:50), but you can skip both and just show up for the "social dancing" piece. Parking wasn't a problem either. There's a lot in the back and street parking. You may have to circle around for a bit but nothing too complicated. Right on Ventura Blvd so you can grab a drink at a local bar (even though they have a bar inside) and dance it up on the dance floor. Why not 5 stars: - I called ahead, twice, to ask about coat check since it was a chilly winter day and I didn't want to worry about my belongings and was told that there was no coat check. Well, upon leaving, I saw a sign for coat check by the door. -One bathroom stall (ladies, you know the struggle is REAL). -Pool table (yes there is one) is on an uneven floor, so I blame the floor for losing! -All around decor could use some spicing up. -Was expecting live music since many of the photos posted showed a live band. Dj was good though.

Instructors Mike and Christina are very talented, awesome and friendly people. Christina makes the class very enjoyable and fun. She has lots of energy and patience. The price is reasonable, too. The beginning classes are great. You start out with the basic step, then move on to some spins and are partnered up for some combination moves by the end. She talks us through each step while demonstrating the motions herself. She stops to ask if we have any questions. Intermediate class follows right after the beginning class. Each month we learn new dance move, style and technique. Certain months Christina also teaches merengue, bachata, and chacha. To see the schedule of classes check out the website at www.MikeChristina.com. After classes the social dance starts. DJ plays variety of dance music. The people in the class are also cool, respectful, nice and fun. During the social dance great leaders and dancers show up. Once of while there are also Live Dance Performances, Birthday Celebrations, Raffles, and Special Event Fundraisers! I just celebrated my birthday there and had the best time ever! I recommend this class to anyone who wants to learn to dance salsa and have fun. Come to the class and you will see how fun and easy is to learn salsa. I'm definitely having fun.
