I…read morehad to update my previous 4-star review because honestly, if I could give Devine 10 stars, I would do it so fast. My previous rating was based on the fact that much of what goes on behind the closed studio doors at practice remains a mystery. Dance is a major investment in time, energy and money, and I had no idea what this studio was capable of producing. Now that I know, I'll be recommending Devine to everyone. I still can't get over how much I enjoyed every minute of that recital. The theme, costumes, music, choreography, showmanship,everything about it was larger-than-life and I felt myself beaming with pride for kids that don't even belong to me! These kids WORKED. Kelly Devine's vision was clear, strong, creative, and it was apparent that every kid (and adult!) on that stage was actually having a great time. What a fantastic way to end the dance year. I can't wait to sign my little one up again this August, and I am so thrilled that this recital is what revived my older daughter's interest in dance. Devine has totally earned my loyalty.

We were so excited to come in and make our own pottery for a reasonable price. The class was fun…read moreand we were given the option of painting it then or we could come back at a later time and paint it with studio paints and make designs, so we chose that option this class was in November). We went to paint these on February 13. We did very detailed pieces with flowers and intricate designs. The studio told me that they would be done within two weeks to a month. After a month passed, I called to see if our pieces were done, they weren't. After this, I called every week as the studio never followed up with me. Our pieces were finally done on April 3rd. So, I went in on the 4th to pick them up at opening. I waited an extra 15 minutes after opening and they had no one there, I knocked on the door and no one came. They did not have it anywhere that they were closed. I finally picked up our pieces and this studio absolutely destroyed our pieces. They melted the glaze and did not heat them in the proper temperature and ruined all our work designing them. So after 6 months, our pieces are going in the garbage. There was no apology for trashing our pieces or offer to reimburse us or to come in and redo them. It was so unfortunate that the team did not care to make things right.

Sheslow Auditorium is an absolutely beautiful theater in the center of Drake University Campus! I…read morehave been here for a few events and every single one I have been impressed with the acoustics and sight lines of this theater! This is my kinda theater, you can tell it's older and has a lot of history, but has also been updated so you are comfortable and have the best concert going experience! The bathrooms are clean and modern. The shows that are put on by the Civic Music Group have wine and beer for sale but it's cash only, so bring some bucks! I have never sat in the balcony but it looks really cool and I bet it sounds awesome up there! All in all if you get the chance to see a performance or talk here.. Check it out, it's beautiful!
