I was a part of DanzArts' adult company Sabor Mexico for three years, and while I came in hopeful…read moreand excited to dance, what I experienced was a toxic environment fueled by manipulation, favoritism, and complete lack of professionalism from the director, Patricia Astorga. Patricia is the opposite of what a leader should be. The moment she senses loyalty from you, she will use you to your breaking point assigning every task possible just to avoid lifting a finger herself. Dancers are expected to travel long distances for performances (many of them physically demanding) and not only don't get paid we're also expected to pay out of pocket for gas and other expenses. Zero compensation, zero appreciation. The company's board? Just her inner circle of close friends who are completely biased and will twist your words to defend Patricia, no matter how valid your concerns are. When you finally see her true colors, you realize this is not a healthy dance community it's a dictatorship masked as a cultural organization. Patricia has spoken badly about her own dancers behind their backs including her co-director and has actively stirred drama to turn people against each other. She even body shamed me when a 13year old dress ripped as I put it on ( I'm not overweight). Instead of offering help or support, she made it a moment of shame. Financially, the lack of transparency is disturbing. She collects donations and won't even tell her board where the money goes. Meanwhile, we've seen her use the company credit card for personal expenses like hair appointments. During a trip to Campeche in 2023, each dancer was required to pay over $300 "for food" to this day, no one knows where that money went. This review only covers the adult side of DanzArts. When it comes to the children's academy, Patricia is rarely present at all. It was Kristina Cunningham, a now former leader who left due to similar issues, who raised funds and ran the program. Patricia allegedly took the kids' fundraising money too, and again no explanation was ever given. If you're looking for a loyal, respectful, and inspiring dance community, THIS IS NOT IT. I wish someone had warned me sooner so I'm warning you now.

Recently hosted a child's birthday party here, and I can't say enough about how seamless and joyful…read morethe entire experience was. From the moment we arrived, the staff had everything perfectly set up--decorations, music, and activities were all thoughtfully curated to keep the kids engaged and energized. Phenomenal instructor, warm, professional, and incredibly skilled at managing a lively group of little dancers. Definitely struck the perfect balance between structure and fun, guiding the kids through dance games, mini routines, and free movement that had everyone smiling from ear to ear. Five Star Birthday Party Experience !!! What really stood out was the studio's attention to detail. Prior to the birthday date, the studio's intake form and process made pre-planning seamless, we had to do nothing but show up. For the kiddos, Transitions between activities were smooth, the space was clean and safe, and the team handled everything--from setup to cleanup--with grace and efficiency. As a parent, it was a relief to simply enjoy the celebration without worrying about logistics.

Really fun place to take dance classes…read more Bought a package of a bunch of classes at this studio and tried several of the classes and it was a lot of fun. I especially like the chair tease class and the burlesque choreography classes! The instructors are all very good dancers and because they also perform, they also instruct on connecting with your audience and the angle of your movements so all the moves will look good. Parking is really a nightmare in the lot, very few spots and the spots are very narrow, I got a couple of dings in this lot.

I finally said eff that, I'm going. Now I'm obsessed. I've taken four classes with Coco and I'm hooked. Yes it's far, yes I'm busy, yes I'm a big girl and I'm still not a born dancer. But when I'm shaking those hips and and gliding across the room, I come alive. If you are considering trying out GTS, stop. Just do. No more excuses. I'll see you there, I'll be the one doing a hair flip.

There was still time and space for the kids to run (with streamers!) and get the wiggles out but still follow simple choreography. The only reason I am giving two stars Is for the rec center…read more It's nice and clean. However, the dance class with dance to evolve was very disappointing. Too many kids in the class. The teacher simply doesn't care about the students. Only two to three people follow her lead and the rest are distracted. The class is so technical for mostly 3 year old kids and not fun at all. My daughter attended another class with dance to evolve last month at the Carmel valley location. The teacher, Ms Andrea, made the class more fun and engaging, and she called the kids by their first name since day one. The teacher at the UTC location never called anyone by their names, she never cared about the kids, and the couple of students she cared about, she gets their attention by tapping on their heads or kicking their feet. Very disappointing.

I was super impressed with the customer service before class began and all of the precautions for safety. Outdoor dance was so fun! Miss Serena was so great with the dancers (ages 3-4) and it was amazing to watch the kids dance together while outdoors and distanced. I like that they offer tap and ballet combo so the kids can do both. It was high energy and felt like I laughed and smiled more in the hour than I can recently remember. The pricing is reasonable and highly recommend! We can't wait to keep dancing with Dance to Evolve.

They are warm and welcoming, but the girls also receive solid instruction! Both of them have gained confidence, strength, flexibility, and become better in their technique. Because of this approach, my daughter who has had an intense medical diagnosing process over a number of years and had to step back from dancing for awhile felt good enough to add more classes again. The teachers foster a good sense of cooperation in the students. I can't recommend the studio highly enough.

However Nadia denied the refund. I explained to her what had happened and that Rachel had approved the refund. She just gave me one excuse after another... when i went into the portal after this conversation, i was unable to get in it suddenly wanted me to read a "Policy Agreement Required" this was not on my portal acct when i requested the refund.
