My daughter started dancing at Dance Force-1 5 years ago at the age of 4. She is now 8 and in the middle of her third year on Dance Team. I cannot say enough good things about the teachers and owner. My daughter was diagnosed in Kindergarten with low muscle tone and developmental coordination disorder, she could not even walk from her desk to the chalk board without falling. We were told to keep her away from team sports as she would always hold a team back. My daughter was enjoying taking recreational classes at Dance Force, but she thought the team kids were just the coolest. Right before the start of first grade she went to what we thought at the time was just a free dance class, it turned out to be an audition for team, I mentally psyched myself up to tell her she didn't make the team however much to my surprise she made it. All of the teachers there have showed my daughter utmost patience and never once made her feel like she didn't belong even though she has to work twice as hard as others to get her body to do what she wants it to do. They have worked and worked with her to strengthen her muscles and to watch her dance now you would have no idea that she has any muscle issues, and for that we couldn't be more thankful. DF-1 is like our second family, the staff genuinely cares about each and every student. They have taught me daughter discipline,perseverance, practice makes permanent, and that when you set your mind to something anything is attainable. My daughter has danced at Dance Force 1 at the Valencia location for 5 years and she loves it. She takes tap, hip hop, ballet, lyrical, and jazz. She has been taught great technique as well as proper form and structure. The teachers there have done a great job pushing her to be her best, without breaking her spirit. They are tough but fair and kind. The owner makes sure her teachers are qualified and knowledgeable in their dance styles. They offer both recreational and competitive dance and all kids perform in a great end of the year recital! I danced here for 12 years and had a great experience! I learned many different styles of dance including ballet, tap, contemporary, and jazz, and I got to work with some amazing teachers and choreographers. Aside from technique I also learned a lot about teamwork and the importance of always supporting your peers. DF-1 provided me with a safe space to dance and be surrounded by friends who supported me. I can not say enough great things about Dance Force 1 - it is simply wonderful! This is my daughters third year here and we have finally found our forever dance home. I LOVE this studio! The staff is so friendly and they are all trained in different backgrounds so your dancers get training in all kinds of different styles. It's also nice to know that they have TWO different locations. One in the foothills, and another location in the east side of Tucson located in Rita Ranch. Dance Force-1 is AMAZING! I was able to transition from one dance studio to another and I was able to FIT right in. The environment, the staff, the other kids really took me in as me. I was able to establish long term friends, and role models from the staff. What a horrible experience for my granddaughter at the new Dance Force-1 location on East Valencia Road (Houghton and Valencia). The teacher wouldn't let her go to the bathroom and made her pee herself in class. She won't be going back there and I suggest you find another dance studio that doesn't specialize in humiliation. read more

Dance Force 1 has a wonderful community of parents, a team of teachers who inspire and care about each and every student and the front office is organized and has great communication. If your child wants to try dancing for fun or have big dancing dreams - this studio should be at the top of your list. The best! read more

This dance studio did nothing when extreme bullying was going on for over a year with my 6 year old. The owner came to my car and threatened me infront of my children. Would never recommend this terrible studio to anyone. If i could give negative stars i would. read more
