Ms. Dori sets a sterling example of excellence in how she runs the studio by providing a nurturing culture where the dancers encourage each other rather than compete with each other. This same philosophy of teach, encourage, instruct, mentor, praise, influence, guide and inspire is shared throughout the staff of more than 30 teachers. They bring in the best teachers with specialties in certain areas to instruct the dancers in not only Ballet, Jazz, hip-hop, Tap, but also musical theatre, acting, singing and conditioning. 15 years ago I brought my daughter in to take classes and my son tagged along to wait. He asked me if he could take classes, so I enrolled him in a couple and today he is in the Pre-professional program, a junior in High school and looking forward to a career in entertainment. Miss Dori and her excellent staff have certainly provided him with all the tools he will need as he enters a very competitive life. We have experienced it all recreational classes, performing classes, team, company and now Pre-professional classes. My daughter has been with Dance Dynamics Performing Arts Center since she has been three years old. She is now approaching 12 years old. She has moved from recreational classes, to team classes, to now being part of the company. All of the staff truly cares about each child's development to bridge each student to an overall successful life. This teaching approach includes developing confidence, organization, the importance of giving back to the community, teaching each student to learn to soar and learn to fall gracefully, and teaches all the students to always get right back up and try again! This is a studio which has a great reputation in its community. But if you look farther into the culture at Dance Dynamics you will see that the students and teachers are amazing but the director Dorlisa Matkowski is a very terrible women. On many occasions she speaks to her students with phrasing like, "you look fat", "your legs are too fat" or "you are look disgusting". She says these terrible things to a group of girls who are already almost unhealthily skinny which I have witnessed makes these girls develops eating disorders. She also bans them from having any personal life and if they do miraculously have a life outside of dancing she simply says "you're dead to me". This woman should not have the right to teach beautiful and talented girls how to dance and should instead be running a prison. Actually scratch that last thought, she should be locked up in a prison based on how many lives she has ruined. I would like to apologize to anyone who has been affected by this treacherous, evil human being. read more

I thought I'd write a review to give new parents, looking for the right dance place, some good information. Those that have been at Dance Dynamics for a long time and those that know about them, already know how amazing they are. It's us new parents that are not informed other than word of mouth or by chance. DDPAC is hands down the best dance studio in the area. Their shows are absolutely amazing.The choreography is awesome and age appropriate. The costumes are modest and age appropriate unlike what you may see at other studios. The professionalism is above par. The performing/team/company dancers are phenomenal. The shows flow smoothly from routine to routine. There's no turning off lights and music and closing the curtain to set up the next group. It's more like a Broadway production. Shows run approx. 2 hours. And if you have a boy, there is no other place to be. My daughter loves Dance Dynamics. read more

I took dance lessons here a few years ago and I was really impressed with the way they handled everything. This dance academy offers tons of different classes and the instructors are amazing. I also liked that they had many different ways you could pay (all up front, monthly, weekly, etc.). Having lessons here was really something to look forward to every week and I really wish I had never given it up. Everything is always very organized and they are good at keeping in touch with you if your teacher isn't going to be there, schedule changes, etc. I would definitely recommend this to someone who was looking to get their children involved in dancing, whether it is a boy or a girl. read more

It's hard to find good dance training in Michigan. Dynamics has it. Very well educated teachers and a good family environment. I have never seen a more organized dance studio.
