My kids, girl age 9 and boy age 6, started with Miss Janet at Dance Creations Dance Studio at the ages of 3 and 2.5. DCDS has become our family! Miss Janet and her teachers offer an inclusive, loving, caring environment that creates a culture of growth, friendship and family. The work-play balance and effort to help develop well rounded humans is like no other and both of my kids have thrived in this environment- becoming more confident, charismatic, fit, passionate and compassionate. After the 2024 recital I shared this with Miss Janet and want to share this sentiment with anyone interested in reading: "Thank you so much for working so hard to give these kids a professional performance level experience! It take tremendous work, passion, dedication and money - I want you to know we see that and are so grateful for you! I also wanted to thank you for including J*** in Big City - she connected with it on such a personal level - she really loved all of her dances, but that one was a little extra special. She uses visual art and dance to express herself and I am so appreciative that she was able to emotionally connect to that song and use it therapeutically A**** is so blessed in his role at DCDS as well! Ms. Janet Cripe - is the Owner/Artistic Director of Dance Creations Dance Studio. She is the driving force that makes the students at DCDS excel and strives to offer the best in dance education. Janet has 20 years of teaching experience, and is well known for her high standards in quality dance training. A member of the Professional Dance Teachers Association she continues training at seminars and workshops to revitalize practical teaching methods.

Meet the Business Owner: Janet C.

Ms. Janet Cripe - is the Owner/Artistic Director of Dance Creations Dance Studio. She is the driving force that makes the students at DCDS excel and strives to offer the best in dance education. At a young age, Janet began dancing at the Vitina Sansone School of Dance were she later assisted Vitina Sansone in all aspects of dance studio management. Having trained for more than 35 years in Ballet/Lyrical, tap, jazz, hip hop, she has studied with some of the best instructors in the industry including Gus Giordano, Bob Rizzo, Scott Benson, Paula Abdul and the late Al Gilbert to name a few. She is an Early Childhood Specialist of the Duluth School of Ballet and finds true inspiration in her student's daily. Janet has 30+ years of teaching experience, and is well known for her high standards in quality dance training. A member of the Professional Dance Teachers Association she continues training at seminars and workshops to revitalize practical teaching methods.

Due to the incompetence of their personal trainer, I ended up in Physical Therapy for almost a year. I was never reimbursed, nor did I receive any personal training for the unauthorized deductions from my bank account. When I confronted them about this, they were rude. Unfortunately, between working and Physical Therapy, I didn't have time to seek legal action against them, but I should have. Beware. They do not stick to their word.

Amazing studio! The reason we choose DCDS for our children is that it is about uninhibited, sing along, march along, laugh with your friends FUN! My children have never, ever said "I don't want to go to dance class today" because it is a highlight of their week. I also appreciate the age appropriateness of the costumes and dance routines for young dancers. read more
