She was the same person who helped check me in the day of the haircut. Thursday night seemed busy, a lot of students doing their thing. Make up and hair is what I noticed. Also noticed students just hanging around. Didn't seem productive but whatevz. The person who did my haircut was nice, kinda quiet and said she had been in school for about 6 months. What I wanted was a trim, long layers and bang trim. I went in with little to no expectations.... It started off with a wash, whatever product they use smelled so good. She asked about the water temp and we chatted a bit. I do wish she got in there more. More massage more washing but it was nice. She did pretty good with the haircut. There was an instructor around and when the student asked she provided help. But not as much as I thought. She didn't watch over her or really instruct. Instead she took over and had the student watch as she cut my bangs. I felt the instructor should have been more present and give better instructions. Overall, it was ok. i got my split dead ends cut off and my hair felt healthier. Although my bangs were uneven and choppy. I ended up going home and fixing them myself. You get what you pay for. $9 for the wash and cut.

Their pricing was more competitive than other schools offering a manicurist license, which made the decision even more practical without compromising quality. Ms. Carrie was a standout instructor her ability to break down the material and streamline the learning process made preparing for the state board feel structured, clear, and highly achievable! That level of guidance is invaluable. She is a great teacher! Mr.Lai is always kind, professional, and encouraging. He is always very considerate, and cares for every student! The environment itself is welcoming yet professional, creating a space that encourages growth while maintaining high standards. One of the standout aspects of this program is their flexibility. They were able to accommodate my schedule, making it possible to stay consistent despite having a busy lifestyle. They also brought in the creator of Sofgel to give a live demo, along with offering discounted products, which added a lot of value and real industry insight to the program. I left the program not only licensed, but confident in my skills and foundation. I would strongly recommend this school. Although it's a Chinese-based school, the program is fully accessible in English -200- hour online portion. Don't let that discourage you it's *very* manageable and accommodating for English-speaking students!

My sister-in-law recently introduced my daughter and me to this beauty school, and we were both pleasantly surprised. It's a simple, clean space where student technicians provide haircuts, facials, manicures, pedicures, and other beauty services under the guidance of their instructors. The best part is that you receive great service at very reasonable prices while helping students gain hands-on experience. My sister-in-law has been coming here for her manicures and pedicures for quite some time and has always been happy with the results. During our visit, I chose a simple beige jelly manicure. The appointment was quick, and three weeks later my nails are still going strong with no signs of peeling or lifting, even though I'm typing on a keyboard all day. My daughter picked an adorable design featuring stars and the soot sprites from the movie Spirited Away, and she absolutely loved how they turned out. She was even wearing gloves in the middle of July just to protect her nails! Everyone we met was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience enjoyable from start to finish. There is also plenty of onsite and street parking, which makes visiting even more convenient. This is a fantastic way to enjoy quality mani/pedi at a great price while supporting future professionals.

I remember last year when I was searching through the internet looking for a great school to learn cosmetology and when I tell you I researched every school and read every single review from the top academies ,to the universities and the adult education centers, let me tell you, I did my homework and am so grateful I did because I truly chose the BEST SCHOOL EVER! Mrs. Yanez, Mr. Natividad, Mrs. Carrillo, and Mrs. Utasi showed me the world of cosmetology with such passion ,extensive knowledge ,and such a dedication to teaching their students and making sure we truly understood each subject matter and had fun along the way. They made each subject enjoyable with their sense of humor as well as providing us with so many incredible demos not only from them, but from world class artists including Dennis Gebhart, Jose Miguel, and so much more. Not to mention these wonderful teachers have worked with renowned artists in the business including Georgiy Kot, and have had over 30yrs exp. In the business among so many other accomplishments. Each day was super enjoyable for me and I am so thankful to each and everyone one of them. I also loved the students and we really respected each other and rooted each other on to continually grow and become amazing artists. The administrators were so helpful from the beginning to the very end. They provided me with all the necessary information and really went above and beyond to make sure I had a great education. Dewi Salim was a Godsend for me and I am just so grateful beyond words. The teachers are the foundation to a great education and I hope wherever you decide to study you are blessed as much as Hacienda has blessed me.

I don't usually leave negative reviews, but I wanted to share my experience so future students know…read morewhat to expect before enrolling. Unfortunately, there were several issues throughout the course that made it difficult to have a positive learning experience. The classroom environment was probably the biggest issue. The makeup class is held in a high traffic area near the entrance of the location, and students from the nail and eyelash classes are constantly walking through. The door was repeatedly left open throughout every class, and multiple students had to keep getting up to close it, only for it to be opened again a few minutes later. Since the school is located inside a mall, there was also a lot of outside noise. On top of that, music from the other classrooms was often loud enough that it was difficult to hear the instructor. This happened consistently throughout the course, making it hard to concentrate and follow along. The classroom technology also wasn't reliable. The camera and microphone that were supposed to display the demonstrations only worked about two out of the ten classes. If you weren't sitting close enough to see every detail, it was difficult to follow what the instructor was doing. Another major disappointment was that the course is advertised as bilingual. That was one of the main reasons my mom enrolled. However, the class was taught almost entirely in English. My mom was one of only two Spanish speaking students, and both of them were often spoken to in English even when it was clear they didn't understand. The other Spanish speaking also expressed that she had enrolled expecting a bilingual class multiple times. Even when questions were asked in Spanish, the responses were often given in English. I reached out to the school because it was frustrating to watch, and the only solution offered was two additional classes. It wasn't until after I emailed expressing my concerns that more Spanish began to be used, but it still fell far short of what was advertised. Communication about important dates was also disappointing. The graduation date changed multiple times, so I specifically asked to confirm the final date because I was planning a trip. I was told graduation would be on July 12. I even confirmed it again with the instructor before booking. A night before, I found out graduation had actually been moved to July 19. When I asked about it, I was simply told, "Yeah, it's confusing." Because I relied on the date I was given, I had already booked my trip and ended up missing graduation. Another thing to be aware of is the makeup kit. The full kit isn't provided until the very end of the course. The starter kit given at the beginning is very limited, and during the first several classes we were repeatedly told we needed additional products and tools, which meant purchasing them from the school's store just to keep up with the lessons. Lastly, I felt that the class time wasn't used as effectively as it could have been. Roughly two hours of each class were dedicated to demonstrations, but after a while they became very repetitive. The same techniques were demonstrated repeatedly with only minor differences, and I think that time could have been better spent giving students more hands on practice, personalized feedback, or instruction on new techniques. I can't recommend this course based on my experience. Between the constant distractions, unreliable classroom technology, poor communication, misleading advertising of the bilingual instruction, repeated additional purchases, and overall lack of organization, I don't feel the quality of the course matched what was promised. I left feeling disappointed and wish I had known these things before enrolling. I hope this review helps future students make an informed decision.
