Having a will or trust set up can be a scary proposition. If I do so, am I setting myself up for karma to kill me off? Is my wife setting me up so she can kill me off and move in with my best friend? Should I be watching so many episodes of Forensic Files with her, as she may be getting ideas. In any case, I had to get it done. I researched the average cost of having a will drawn up, and the Dana Law Group had pretty good reviews on Yelp so I gave them a call. After meeting with Zachary and going over my needs he advised me of the price for having the documents drawn up. It wasn't low, but it wasn't high either. Sort of the upper end of middle of the road I guess so I went ahead and pulled the trigger. I had a follow up visit to go over the paperwork and they said they will reach out to me in a few weeks once everything is filed. All in all it was a good visit, and I didn't feel like they were trying to rush me out of there. For the price they took their time and went over all the questions I had until I was satisfied. In fact, nothing would be discussed until I brought my parents (who are not very mobile) into their office. What a group. Claim to be military friendly (my father is a 24 year veteran of the Army). Dealt with an attorney by the name of Ryan Hoffman. I've been faced making some serious decisions and needed to put a Non-revokable living trust into place, but the cost of that was really expensive so I went w/a will instead. Ryan knowing the situation I was dealing with, he wasn't acknowledgeable in mineral rights so I thought I'd give him the name of my attorney in the other state I have mineral rights in and completely blew it by trying to involve him in this, which would have driven the cost way up there and wish I'd known any of this before starting out with him. I would recommend him for a General will, but if it gets seriously technical, expect the price to go up if a third attorney has to be brought into the situation. He is a nice person, but aren't they all when you first start doing business with them? If you need to change the executor of your estate, he'll charge you the same price to make a name change, so you'll be paying for a new will. I think I can create an addendum that states my new executor, notarize it and file it with the courts. That should cover it. You did serious damage between myself and my other attorney, which I needed more then him. I'm the long run I should have found an attorney I knew how to deal w/mineral rights, this probably wouldn't have happened. He's more of a cookie cutter type guy. Already uses a pre-exiting will and fill the spaces. read more

Considered using this company however after an over the phone encounter with Andrea Peralta my business will be taken elsewhere. There is no excuses for rudeness and poor customer service. Inquired for a friend regarding a position they have on-line and after inquiring about whether or not medical is offered she said no and before I could say thank you for your time she hung up the phone. Very unprofessional. Very un-called for and that 5min encounter with her completely turned me off from ever using this law firm. No excuses for rudeness. Attitudes like that get you no where. I selected Ryan Hoffman of Dana Law Group to do my will/trust package based on a strong recommendation from a friend who also did a similar package about a year earlier. Sure enough, Ryan did not disappoint and he actually exceeded my expectation. He accepted my request for appointments scheduled on Saturday at a location that was quite far away from his main office and home. I don't think too many other will/trust lawyers would be willing to accommodate clients like him. He is very knowledgeable in his field and has excellent communication skills to explain complicated and confusing legal terminology in plain English. He was very patient in answering my endless questions and I never felt being rushed. Instead of just using a routine standard will/trust package, he carefully analyzed my individual financial and family situations before recommending an optimized estate plan. He is very honest and professional, I never felt being pressured into buying additional services that are optional. Best of all, he personally followed through my case from the beginning to the end. A colleague of mine did a similar will/trust package and he only got to see the lawyer only once in the first meeting. It was his lawyer's legal assistant who did the explaining and signing of the final documents with him. Fortunately, in my case Ryan did the signing meeting with me and I was able to get some last minute clarifications from him on the final documents. I just have whole lot more confidence on explanations provided by a lawyer than his legal aid. I really think Ryan genuinely cares about his clients and is willing to do what is best for them instead of trying to get most fees from them.
