We had a plumbing issue come up unexpectedly and weren't sure who to call. We reached out to…read morePlumbing By Paul and were able to get someone out pretty quickly. Brian showed up on time, explained what he found, and gave us a couple options before doing any work. He took care of the problem, cleaned everything up when he was finished, and didn't leave us feeling like we were being sold on things we didn't need. We've had a couple different plumbing companies work on our house over the years, and this was honestly one of the better experiences we've had. Everyone we dealt with was friendly, professional, and easy to communicate with. It's nice to have a local, family-owned plumbing company we feel comfortable calling when something goes wrong. We'll definitely be using Plumbing By Paul again and would recommend them to anyone looking for a plumber in the St. Petersburg/Pinellas County area.

He gave me his personal number and said he can do it for cash on the weekends. We ended up getting another estimate for half the price. I asked the office person to have him call me and so did the realtors and buyers. We got nothing but a canceled sale from the buyers because the estimate was so high. What a joke this company is. It's takes a long time to build a good reputation but you can destroy it really quick when you have dirt bag employees.

After looking up who was I contacted James about replacing the heater. He told me exactly what I needed to do to get it authorized from the manufacturer and, after that was accomplished, he replaced itr as soon as the gas crisis from the hurricane had subsided. When we went to the store to exchange the heater they wanted to pro-rate it but James, as the authorized warranty repair plumber, straightened them out and it was swapped at no charge. 1.5-2 hours later we had hot water.

Salemme Plumbing (TONY) visited today on-time and at the early side of the reporting window. He…read morewas professionally dressed, assessed the plumbing situation and went to work. The job was a plugged residential sewer/shower line and he worked the project from least instrusive (outside catch) to interior snake to interior snake and commode drain (remove the commode) access. Throughout the process he maintained a clean and orderly work environment. Their price was representative of this work as he was on site for over 2 hours but the quality was worth every penny. He also assessed the larger plumbing considerations and provided a free estimate of that work. I will now make Salemme Plumbing my " I've gotta a guy " plumbing company....you should too.

In June, we paid over $500 to have the kitchen drain at a small ~850 sq. ft. rental unit cleared…read moreand camera-inspected. Their invoice stated there were no roots or collapse and that the sink was draining properly. Historically, this line stayed clear at least for about 18-24 months after cleaning. This time, it clogged again in less than four months. I asked Salemme to simply come back and inspect why the same drain failed so quickly. They refused to return and check the work unless I paid another service charge, and the free estimate appointment that had already been scheduled was canceled. I then called the company and was told: "the $500 service in June only "PUNCHED A HOLE" through the blockage, and that if I wanted the line properly cleaned, I would need their approximately $4,500 hydro-jetting/whole-house drain cleaning package -- all quoted through the phone call without anyone coming back to inspect the current condition. If the June service was only intended to create a temporary opening through a heavily grease-coated pipe, and a much more extensive cleaning was already necessary, that should have been clearly explained before even doing the June service, not four months later after the drain clogged again. NO ONE expects to pay more than $500 for a drain service only to later be told that the work essentially just "punched a hole" through the blockage, followed by a $4,500 proposal on a 850 sqft rental unit kitchen sink without even re-inspecting the drain. This is not simply a disagreement about snaking versus hydro-jetting. It is about refusing to stand behind a recent service, refusing even to inspect why it failed unusually quickly, but selling a ridiculously priced new service without seeing the current problem. For additional context, we also checked current Tampa Bay-area pricing. Published 2026 pricing data puts typical residential hydro-jetting at roughly $353-$605, averaging around $480. I understand every job and scope is different, but Salemme proposed approximately $4,500 in additional drain work for this ~850 sq. ft. unit without even returning to inspect the current blockage. I stand by every statement in this review and have attached the June invoice and the subsequent proposal for anyone who wants to see exactly what was charged and recommended.

I hired Dunedin Plumbing to install a new water heater. They scheduled a plumber to do the job the…read morefollowing day. And they promptly pulled the permit and were able to schedule the city inspector the very next day. So far, so good. But the plumber who came out showed up in a badly damaged van that had been sideswiped by another vehicle and which was quite dirty and haphazardly packed with tools and supplies. But the plumber was friendly and so I gave him the benefit of doubt. But, right away, he had great difficulty draining the 6 year old water heater being replaced due to a slow leak. After several trips to his van for more tools, he brought in an incredibly filthy shop wet vacuum to help drain the water heater. I even commented to him that it was incredibly dirty and looked to be in disrepair. In turning it on, this wet vacuum began to dump large amounts of dirt onto the floor and spray dirty water that got all over everything including my white walls. He tried to keep that from happening by applying rags to stop the spraying. But, he clearly should never have used this incredibly filthy wet vacuum. To his credit, He did try to clean up the mess with a roll the paper towels that I supplied him. But I clearly needed to bring in a housekeeper just to clean up the stains on the floor and the walls that he had caused. The other thing that happened was that he kept having to go back to his truck to get tools that he admitted he had forgotten. Because we were in a high security condominium building, I had to escort him every time, burning up my time and his on a "time and materials" job. To his credit, he deducted the time that was wasted in these multiple trips and in attempting to clean up the mess he had created from the final bill. And he was very pleasant with me during the entire job which he did fully complete.
