I have been going to see Drew for a couple of months now for back pain. First off, Jasmine at the front desk is a treat. She is always making a pleasant effort to schedule me in at a day and time that works best for me, without having to wait weeks to see the doctor. The office has a casual setting that makes you feel at home and comfortable. The doctor I work with is extremely observation and is always referring back to our previous sessions to understand progress - which is important to me. Not only do I leave feeling less pain but I am educated on the ins and outs of what we are working on and where I am at on my journey. Drew is a true professional and cares about his work. I have been here for a short time but feel more valued and regarded with more care than the array of medical experts I've seen prior to coming here. Thank you Damon, Drew, Jasmine (and Moku) for all you do. I highly recommend this location! read more

Mediocre PT. The "therapst" would gve me exercises to do then go over to his computer until I asked how long I should do them for. I got a lot of relief from the pre-exercise massage nut he usually skipped those. Jasmine (I think that's her name) at the front desk might be the most decent human being in the place. She listens well and does her best to accomodate. Damon Brown might be a good PT but I have not met a man more full of himself since high school. The carpeting is old and I don't think it can be cleaned any more. No guidance, no encouragement, drab environment. Thank heavens for the support staff. read more

I was disappointed. I brought records, which included a torn meniscus of the right knee. Damon looked at no records. He began swinging my legs and knee around, with the result that he worsened my knee pain, which has continued to bother me more than prior to my visit to Damon Brown Physical therapy. read more

I was referred to you guys by my brother and my cousin who were both very pleased with your services and I'm thankful to agree with them. They are very professional and most importantly really knowledgeable. I def recommend to anyone going thru any type of recovery. You are in good hands. read more

I've been going to Damon for nearly 20 years. Two knee surgeries, neck and back issues. Cannot imagine there's a better PT out there. I've recommended him to countless friends and all say the same thing - Damon works magic and is an even better person. read more

Damon is wonderful, he is genuinely caring and really knows his profession. He cares about his patients and it shows through his amazing work. Highly recommend this therapy studio. By the way he also has an amazing dog, she is so beautiful. read more

I am writing this on behalf of my husband and myself. My husband has a very severe ACL and MCL injury. Our well known knee doctor/surgeon said he was not a good candidate for surgery, so I asked for recommendations from friends and associates. I got a glowing and fabulous review about Damon. When my husband started seeing him (only a short time ago) he was walking slowly with a walker. Damon got him using two canes and then one cane. He started driving again and is able to navigate a few steps and even walk without a cane. My husband had sessions with both Damon and Drew. We are so grateful to them. It is truly a life changing experience for us. They are truly amazing physical therapists. read more

Excellent physical therapy center. Drew assisted me in the recovery of a healthy ankle! I can walk again! Damon Brown is a cool guy who keeps his beautiful dog by his side. The music selection is very good. read more

My physician recommended physical therapy for some minor back pain. The PT he recommended did not accept my insurance so I sought out another on yelp. I found this office and decided to try them out. After confirming my insurance was in order I scheduled an appointment with Drew. The office is situated on the third floor and has good vibes with lovely views. The staff are friendly, and there is always a variety of chill music playing in the background - I can recall jazz, and alt rock playing during my visits. Drew is patient, knowledgeable, and intuitive. He provided guided stretches as well as resistance exercises to improve my overall hip mobility, and reduce the pain in my lower back. He asked thoughtful questions that helped me identify which areas felt painful, then recommended specific exercises to treat them with precision. I highly recommend this practice if you're looking for friendly and helpful physical therapists with a laid back beachy vibe. Parking was also a breeze. I never had an issue finding parking in the surrounding neighborhood - usually within a block or two. But be aware of the parking restrictions - I believe there is street cleaning on weds before noon. read more

Damon Brown is one of the very best in the state. His staff is highly professional also. I love his attitude and his knowledge. He has a great little garden with lots of hummingbirds. And if you're lucky stop by and say hello to Moku the brilliant Malamute. She's a sweetie. read more

I started going to Damon 7 years ago due to an injury that herniated two discs in my neck. All of my orthopedic appointments suggested surgery but I was not wanting to go that route. Damon saved me from having this surgery. I returned to him 2 years ago due to some returning pain, after another 12 week round of PT I returned to normal and have not had issues since. He's wonderful at what he does and I loved to chat with him too. He plays great music and really cares for his clients. read more

I've been going to Damon for 2 months now and I have to say I'm so glad I decided to come here. I suffered from a torn acl and meniscus. Post opp Damon took the time to review my chart. He even took the time to visit my doctor. I was in shock. He has taken the right measures to insure my recovery. The team is awesome. Front desk is always happy to help. I will continue to recommend this place for their professionalism and knowledge for treatment. read more

I went to 3 doctors for the extreme pain in my foot. An orthopedic surgeon who didn't help me. A nerve specialist who wasted my time and my money. And a physical therapist who told me to stretch out my nerves. Damon is gods gift to earth. 10/10 would recommend read more

It's possible that Damon Brown is the best PT in town. But I wouldn't know because his ever-rude receptionist rescheduled me 3 times before our 1st meeting, suggested that I should wait 10 days because Damon experienced a cancelled flight one day & was generally very unaccommodating. This was after she unapologetically gave me incorrect information about my insurance billing/co-pay, called my insurance to verify that she was wrong & then didn't call me back! I assume from the bad attitude that they just don't want the business. Thankfully in 90210 we have more Physical Therapists than we do minimum wage receptionists, so I'll be juuuuust fine. read more

After going to 4 other Physical Therapy Facilities in LA my new doctor recommended Damon Brown and it was a world of difference. The small practice ensures everyone gets personal attention, I was never left alone to do my reps or told "you remember what to do right" like I was at so many other facilities. My condition improved faster there then any where else. I got individualized attention and was pushed further every session, so I never settled in to my progress. Lucas my PT also got to know me as a person and could relate the Therapy goals to my personal life so they had even more meaning and importance to me!. Thank you ! read more

Miracle Worker indeed!!! I've had two separate injuries that I've gone to Damon for. The first was a shoulder injury I got from doing Capoeira in 2007. I went a few times and Damon had me working again in no time. I am currently seeing Damon for a carpal tunnel type problem in my hand and I cannot stress how great working with him. It is a total pleasure to go to physical therapy because I know Damon will be professional with me. His positive outlook and attitude on health is contagious as is his friendly and outgoing staff. Big thumbs up from a chick who's thumbs are messed up! :) read more

Top marks for Drew Clark who is helping me recover from a shoulder trauma. He's highly knowledgeable and has a great bedside manner. Best thing to happen since the accident! read more

I have no doubt that Damon Brown can and has helped many with physical therapy. He knows his craft. But as for myself and a number of former patients who have gone elsewhere it is the same complaint. Minimal time directly spent between patient and therapist. How much one-on-one times does the therapist spend with you before sending you off to use a machine while he goes onto the next person??? More than 15 - 20 minutes should be expected. Many times when I went there were 3 or 4 patients being addressed at one time. All but one was on a machine - not with the therapist. Within his office is Sonja Chandler who spends close to an hour with each patient. In my opinion this is what should be expected. read more

As daunting an experience as Physical Therapy is, the music, the kindness and the patience are all where you need them to be to make the best out of a bad situation. Two thumbs up for Damon. read more

More than a review this is a thank you letter to Damon, thank you for being so nice and give such a great personal approach to my shoulder rehab. After shoulder surgery Damon really made a difference for me, he will work with you and he will make sure that you are doing fine with the exercises. The strechings were absolutely great. I'm still struggling with my shoulder a little so I've been thinking of coming back to his practice for a check up. I will 100 percent recommend Damon Brown as you PT specially if you have shoulder or knee surgery. read more

I've been going here for physical therapy for several years and have been happy with the treatments.

My husband sees Damon for a shoulder injury due to a mcycle accident. I've never met him, but I have spoken with the office staff on several occasions, and they are so nice, polite, understanding of scheduling issues, and knowledgeable of insurance and processes. As for Damon, my husband loves him, his demeanor, his skills, and his techniques, more so than any other PT he's seen before. He will come see Damon for any PT issues he has in the future. He says he's very "real", and he loves that Damon gets into the PT with him. He doesn't just tell him what to do, he does it for/with him, even if it means climbing on top of him to stretch hubby out. It's always a positive experience for him when he goes to see Damon. read more

Don't let the fun, laid-back atmosphere fool you -- these guys are super-talented, hardcore therapists who truly know their stuff. I've been to several physical therapists, but I wouldn't go anywhere else now that I've found Lucas & Damon. Unlike other well-known outfits I've used where one PT supervises half a dozen technicians, the actual PTs here do all the hands-on treatments and supervise the exercises personally. They do everything except for the office/billing stuff. Typical sessions consist of 1/2 hour hands-on treatment by Damon or Lucas, followed by 1/2 to 1 hour of supervised exercises on their equipment. Sessions start pretty much on time. They're very responsive to my specific limitations and requests. My therapist Lucas has an almost magical ability to hone in on the specific muscles and places that are causing me pain. He's also a wizard at trigger point therapy, and his work area has a front-row view of the action at the hummingbird feeders. read more

So you're looking for a physical therapist and you don't know which way to turn. Perhaps like myself, after your procedure, you were handed five pages of names of physical therapists, broken down by region. You flip through the pages and soon realize you're trying to put a face with the last name: Armenian, Persian, black, white, Asian, male, female???? Don't feel guilty-I did the same thing! It's a very personal, very touchy-feely, personality, good body odor, type of leap of faith you're about to take. You are basically putting your recovery in this person's hands. You're going to see this person 2-3 times a week for the next 8 weeks. You don't want to spend an hour with some stinky old fart, 3 times a week. Say all this to say...I got SO lucky! I don't know why I picked the name Damon Brown, but I did. And everyone in his office is fantastic...from the ladies at the front desk, to every therapist in his group...they are all wonderful, attentive, quite knowledgeable therapists. I tore my meniscus in my right knee. Although the surgeon is supposedly one of the top in the country, his bed side manner sucks! I don't need a whole lotta hand holding, but I do need a little explaining, sometimes. The people at Damon Brown Therapy explain everything. They show you how the meniscus can tear, how it heels, and the entire healing process. Of course all I really wanted to know is "How long before I can get back into my stilettos?!" So, if you're on the fence, you don't know which way to turn or who to entrust your healing process to, I'm telling you...go see Damon Brown! He is amazing and wonderful! I promise...you won't be disappointed! read more

He's a miracle worker. I had frozen shoulder and thought it would take months to fix. He did it in four weeks.

Damon and Lucas have helped me so much to regain my strength and rid me of pain before and after shoulder and back surgery. The friendly atmosphere and the great music only ad to the success of the therapy. The office staff goes out of their way to accomodate your schedule. Off street and valet parking. Thank you, Damon! read more

I've had a great experience with Damon. I came in with a herniated disc and had been in constant pain for almost a year prior. Within a week of starting to work with Damon I was able to sleep through the night and after two weeks I was almost 50% better. Damon is friendly as is his office staff and I'd recommend him to anyone I know. read more

Damon Brown Physical Therapy is one of L.A.'s best kept secrets. On my last day of vacation in Paradise, Wailea, I fell hard onto a very hot sidewalk and found out at the ER of Maui General that I had fractured 2 bones of my humerus (no laughing matter). When i got back to the mainland i was referred to Damon Brown by a good friend who had been greatly helped with a major back injury. She swears that Damon saved her from having a limp the rest of her life! I'm not too keen on PT due to a bad experience many years ago but Damon quickly assuaged my fears. The office has a wonderful environment unlike and medical type of office i've ever been to! A fabulous fish tank, plants on the patio with hummingbirds flitting about and always great music playing in the background! Damon is a very cool guy who has great taste in music AND is a fantastic physical therapist. My shoulder is back and I graduated today! I'll actually miss seeing Damon and the staff, everyone is so kind and friendly. He's the best! read more
