If I could list no stars or minus stars I would! The worst humiliating and rudest treatment ever! We received an invitation to attend one of their dinner seminars at Ruth's Chris restaurant, an upscale and respected establishment in Boca Raton. I am a business owner and lived in this community for 35 years. My guest and friend is a sophisticated and classy woman. When we first arrived we were told we could not bring in any alcohol beverages from the bar because the owner of Leiba and Associates wants everyone sober! WTH? There were a bunch of other condescending 'rules' we were told we had to abide by as well. As if we were derelicts. Then...
The post card they sent me offered a vegetarian option. When the waiter came to take our order, since I do not eat meat, I ordered the vegetarian pasta. I was told they "don't offer that." I pointed to the post card that shows they offered 'that.' I then asked, since I don't eat (meat) filet mignon (it came with shrimp) could I just have the shrimp, no meat. At that moment the waitress stormed from the room and returned with one of the hosts of the seminar . She rushed in and told us "GET UP! The owner of Leiba doesn't want you here." (That is the short version!) I thought she was kidding for a second until the manager of Ruth's Chris restaurant came in and told us that the owner of Leiba and Associates demand our immediate removal. They didn't want 'our kind' in the seminar. In front of a room full of people! Then we were rushed out of the room. As we were leaving, I told the manager of Ruth's Chris I would go on social media and tell EVERYONE how rude and offensive not to mention demeaning this experience was after being a patron of their establishment for 25 years, and local business owner having taken my clients there many times over the decades. With that, as we neared the door, the manager stopped us and said, "Please stay and have dinner on us. Anything you want." We stayed and enjoyed a fabulous meal, but that didn't take the sting out of being humiliated in front of a room of people from my small town. Can you imagine investing millions of dollars with this man and his company? If you get thrown out of a seminar because you make a simple request, how do you think you and your money will be handled!? read more
