Responsive, fair price, and quick service. I was in and out of there in under 10 minutes!

Totally recommend this place for smog & other auto service ~ very professional, accurate & timely service.

Fast and efficient. No wait when I showed up on my lunch break. It's a pretty stripped-down operation--in fact I thought it was abandoned when I first pulled up. But he got the job down quick and easy for $50. read more

Since moving to San Francisco, this was my first time needing a smog test, so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. I drove over to this place in Daly City, and honestly, it was one of the best experiences I've ever had with any automotive service. The owner is fast, efficient, and completely no-nonsense exactly what you want for something like this. The moment I arrived, he greeted me, asked if he could step into my vehicle, and immediately got started with the smog test. It was that simple and straightforward. Within minutes, everything was done. I paid, got my certificate, and was on my way. It was super quick and smooth I genuinely wish every business operated with this level of efficiency and professionalism. Highly recommended if you want a hassle-free smog check! read more

This is what you need. It might not be what you want - I mean, I want world peace. And the end to global warming. Free internet for all. And a ham, egg, & cheese croissandwich that costs less than $6. Outside of these impossible feats, a fast, friendly, super easy Star Certified smog is pretty damn sweet. $50, done in less than 10 minutes. Easy. Doable. One step closer to a perfect world. read more

Fast and friendly service, I love that when you bring your DMV paperwork it goes straight to DMV

Daly City Test Only - Daly City smog test. - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Daly City, California

Super quick and no fuss. That's just how I like it when California nickel and dime us to drive a vehicle. Value was comparable to other places. read more

Most affordable smog check place for my 2016 subaru. Super fast took less than 10 minutes. Great attitude. Will come back next year!

Got there early morning for a smog test, fast and efficient, less than 10minutes. Lower price then some. Friendly staff.

This place is a hidden gem for a quick and affordable smog test! At first glance, I wasn't sure if the place was in operation but I'm glad I drove in to check. The owner was friendly and professional. read more

In and out in 10 minutes. Philip was straight to the point and very friendly. Nothing more nothing less.

I was in need of a smog test on a weekday late afternoon and was in and out within 10 minutes. Exactly what I was looking for. The attendant was courteous and professional. Very reasonably priced. Recommended. read more

I came to get a smog and I was in and out within 15 minutes. I didn't even have to get out of the car for my whole service.

Super easy! There was no wait at all. The technician was very nice. Whole thing took like ten minutes.

The guy was done with my smog check faster than I could write this review. I'm not sure he did all the visual inspection items (because those are what takes time) but that's perfectly fine with me. I think he just hooked up the OnBoardDiagnostic (OBD) plug to get an electronic read from my engine computer and be done with it. Fifty bucks, 2 minutes, and I drive away. Easy. read more

I was looking for a smog shop form San Bruno to Colma. Most of the place will take a day to do a smog. This place is only take 30 minutes. Fast and efficient. read more

He was quick and very nice, easy to get to and plenty of parking. I passed emissions. Happy to go there and I will be back

Great service . Great price. The gentleman who runs this is establishment is always so kind .

Went in for a smog and was quoted 50 dollars. I asked why is it so expensive since I was accustomed to 35$ smog in Sacramento. Regardless I said I would like to get it done anyways and had him run the smog check. Prior to the smog I had no check engine light. Immediately after leaving the station my check engine light came on. I ran the code got an EVAP leak. I went to check the usual areas everything looked fine except for the gas cap. Someone ripped out the rubber seal and bent the gas cap. No one else came close to this area accept the smog technician. I believe he was upset that I questioned the smog price and damaged my gas cap. Do not recommend this location they will damage your vehicle. If I did not know how to repair these things I'm sure this repair would have been costly at a mechanic shop. Sad that they would take advantage of people like this. Hope I saved you unnecessary repairs with this review. read more

Definitely come for a smog check!!! We called super last minute and they squeezed my friend in after being turned away from another shop. The mechanic was fast and friendly! read more

I needed a Smog Test in order to renew my car Registration and was referred to "Daly City Test Only" by Eric Steeg, the owner of Masters Auto-body, a trustworthy Body Shop on Mission Street. (I live on the Coast and had called Harloe's on Airport Street in Moss Beach to get an appointment but after waiting several days with no call back l called Eric for a recommendation.) I called the business to see if l needed an appointment and how long it might take. 1.) They answered their phone right away. 2.) They said it would take only ten minutes. 3.) They were open until 6:00 pm so l knew l could get there easily after work. I am writing this review to assure you, if you need to get a SMOG TEST quickly, this is the place that won't make you wait. They take credit cards and l was out of there in less than 10 minutes! I still had time to get over to Trader Joe's! They are at the corner of Mission & Moltke, just down hill a block opposite Jefferson High School (Between Primo Pizza and Taco Bell if you need a quick bite afterwards!) 7101 Mission Street - Daly City I highly recommend this business!!! Five Stars Service- No frills place, but efficient! read more

Highly recommend. I rolled in with no appointment and was waved right up to the testing bay. They told me the price and started the test right away. The staff is friendly and I was in and out in under 10 minutes. Great service! read more

Fast, cheap, local and friendly. Try these guys if you need a smog and live nearby. There are a few places to eat nearby, too.

Fast, friendly AND reasonably priced service! I just called up for a price quote and drove over. I was in and out in less than 15 mins.

$60 for a smog check! Feeling ripped off here but it's convenient for last minute smog tests without appt. We ask what's the difference between Star Certified and regular smog test and he just says, "Star is the only real difference" and charges me $60. Uh, what. My dad was here to get the Star Smog Test and paid $60. I was here for a normal smog test and paid $60. Is this the norm?? Regardless, I'm not coming back. I learned other places can be $35-40 and I'm paying $60 for the same thing!? Beh! A perk is that you can drop by without appointment and you'll be on your merry way in 10 minutes. No absurd wait time but if you see how it looks, you'd understand why no one comes here. Place looks jank as fuhhh read more

I sent in my car registration without reading the instructions. So DMV sent it back telling me I needed to get a smog check. I didn't have any idea where to go or how much a test cost, but my mom told me that Daly City Test Only was the place to go. I drove up on Saturday at 5:15pm with the intention to check their hours and come back when they open. But when I parked and got out my car, the guy came up to me and asked me if I needed a smog check! How did he know? So he told me to give him 10 minutes and it'll be done. I sat in the wait room/office, played on my iPhone, and soon enough he came in and told me my car passed. I paid my 60 bucks, and I was in and out without an appointment. Can't complain. read more

Don't go here... was trying to be nice and asked the guy's name, he said my name is not important. Wow that's good customer service... On my first test... Passed visual test... but failed emissions... 2nd test free: failed visual test?? WTF?? I passed it a few days ago, but now you want to fail me... freakin weird... didnt give me an explanation why... he just told me to go to your mechanic and get it fixed... Dont go here.. Save yourself the headache.... I will NEVER go here AGAIN! Oh FYI: A person after me was doing a regular smog, not test only... he was charged a test only price... so hopefully that helps... read more

I went right before closing and they fit me in. Took only about 10 mins. It's a shack. I passed. Price was not bargain basement, but I needed it done ASAP and it was on the way home from work. Call for price because I can't recall exactly. Update 4/20/13. I am still going here for smog checks and still a satisfied customer! It was $60 this year. I only had to wait about 5 minutes with one car ahead of me, but sometimes it is busier and you have to wait a bit. It's a one-man operation and he works as fast as he can. I really like being able to patronize and independent business that provides quality and friendly service. I drive from San Fran to go here. read more

Do not know what customer service is???!!! My call was picked up, but there was no hello or any greets, but a click, and the call was still connected until I hung up after a while not being able to talk to someone. Super fast, reasonable price, nice guys. I was in and out in under 20 minutes, without an appointment. You won't find a plush reception area (understatement), but you'll have a chair to wait on, and they'll get the job done on time and on budget. Who needs more? Highly recommended. read more

this is definitely a no-frills place, but then again who would find getting a smog check enjoyable? anyhow, philip is there all the time and very friendly. costs $50 + cert. gave me some good insight on my recent smog repair. he works hard for your service! only 1 person in front of me and waited about 15 min and mine took about 20 min...she's good for 2 years! hours: mon-sat 830-6pm read more

Good if you only drive a Honda or Toyota. They don't know anything about VWs. I told the tech that my car wasn't equipped with a piece of equipment because it is not a carburated vehicle. Passed the emissions test but they failed me visually because it was missing the equipment that is not equipped on a Fuel Injected vehicle. They weren't willing to hear me out. read more

I've come here for a smog check several times! Quick & Easy every time! Can't complain!

I had a coupon so got it done at a reasonable price. I was in and out in ten/fifteen minutes.

Fast and convenience. I've been bringing to these guys for years. Kind and understanding. Not much else I can add but Thanks.
