We had Dallas Millwork build a custom exterior door for our home. Part of the design was a small window in the center of the door . When the door was delivered, they had added a thick, unattractive frame around the window to hide where they had improperly cut the hole when they installed the window. (The frame was not part of the approved design.) We had a really difficult time getting them to fix the window, and, at one point, they actually tried to pull the frame off and give us the door back with large amounts of wood putty in the gaps around the window. My husband had to drive out to their offices to get it resolved and was finally able to speak to a manager who agreed to fix the door. However, it appears that their solution was to cut the center out of the door and replace it. Now when the weather is cold, the door shrinks, and we can see daylight through the center of our extremely expensive door. Unfortunately, by the time we noticed what they had done, the door was already out of warranty, so we're stuck with it. Their craftsmanship is poor, they were difficult to work with, and the way they chose to handle their error was unethical. I absolutely would not recommend them. read more
