Crowley consumers beware Over the weekend I attempted to…read morepurchase Bobcat attachment from Anthony Armendariz a presentive of Lonestar tile and granite company in Crowley. I drove up from San Antonio to purchase the item and met him at his family's Lonestar Tile and Granite business location on FM-1187 shook hands with everyone and paid the agreed price to directly Anthony Armendariz in cash. There were other people there his uncle, his girlfriend who I had been communicating with and other workers. When I arrived, it was already dark and the item was already hanging from a forklift ready to load. It was late and I was in a hurry to get on the road back to San Antonio, so I quickly loaded the item and left and no point in our communication did anyone ever mention the item missing parts or being not functional. 5 minutes down the road I stopped at QT to fuel up and to check my straps as the items was big and heavy. While checking my straps I noticed the item was missing the main hydraulic control component. I immediately call Anthony Armendariz girl friend who is the persons I had been communication with, and she said that they were not aware that anything was wrong with or missing from the item and said they would be happy to return my money. She also said that there was some parts that possibly went to the piece of equipment at the business and I could go back and look at them. At this point I was pretty sure it was just an honest oversite, and the part would be found at the business, and I would be happy to take it with me and sort it out when I got home but not luck. The missing very important and very expensive part was not able to be found I then communicated this to Anthony Armendariz and his girl friend and they then stopped communicating with me at all. I decided that my best course of action was to unload the item and leave it there and with the hope that these people would do the right thing and return my money. Unfortunately I had to much faith in the honestly of the company and this family and they will not return my calls or messages. I am posting this because this is a family business and if this is how they operate it should be known to community. I am still hopeful that they will do the right thing but we will see and I will up date this if the situation changes.

We used Floor Barn to install our porcelain tile floor and for carpet on stairs in a house we…read morerecently bought. First off, we didn't buy our tile from them because we found a fantastic deal at Lowe's, but they were willing to install the tile anyways--not every flooring place is willing to do that. Trust me, we shopped around for labor quotes and got told several times that we had to buy the tile from a flooring company or they wouldn't install it. Floor Barn was great and willing to work with us. They didn't have the cheapest quote, but they were local and had great reviews, so we decided to give them a shot. We are so glad we did! Don and the team are all true professionals. Of the four contractors we had working in the house, Floor Barn was the only one that we didn't have a single issue with. They did their work quickly and with high quality workmanship. We were so pleased with the installation that we will definitely use them again! I can't recommend them enough--give them your business!

To be clear, we are very satisfied with the quality of our home so far, Kenmark did a stellar job and my wife and I are absolutely in love with all the unique little touches that you'll have a hard time finding with a run-of-the-mill builder. However, every new home has a handful of niggles to dial-in, and Colleen, who oversees this, is tremendous. Highly organized, accessible and responsive- we were really blown away by the level of service she provided and would recommend Kenmark to family and friends just on the basis of the professionalism and efficiency with which she remedied our requests/concerns alone. Finally, on the occasions that I have called Kenmark's head-office all members of their team I spoke with have been exceptionally friendly and competent.
