This place gets a star for its convenient location but I was not impressed at all by anything else. The sites are not maintained, the parking pad for your rig is supposed to be gravel, but it is like a big muddy pit with some rocks and there were holes, large ones like the size of a bucket. Worst KOA we have ever stayed at. But don't worry, you'll still pay full price! Pool was closed and full of algae/green slime- on Spring Break week too! Fire ants on the kids' play equipment- my son was bitten too. All laundry services were closed- not a single running washer or dryer. Horrible location- smack in the middle of the city- lots of noise, light from the city. Difficult to get in- you'll have to do a U-turn with your camper. Grounds were not very well taken care of either. Things happen, I could let 1 or 2 things go, but if half your amenities are in disrepair or not working at all, it's a you problem. You at least need to let people know when they book/give them a discount. If they show up expecting typical KOA service/amenities and are surprised with all of the shortcomings, you're setting them up to be very "unhappy campers". I want my money back. Stayed at the picnic area, it looked clean & put together exactly as described on the website. Our neighbors were super nice and some of them invited us for s'more. The pool is a lot smaller than I thought, the bathrooms were mainly clean but needed some love. There is a pond with stagnant water that looks unpleasant and makes the whole mosquito issue a lot worse. It is close to the picnic area so if a camper accidentally leaves the zipper to their tent open, they'll suffer all night as we did. This KOA is located in the middle is the city making life so much easier. As soon as you enter through the gates you feel completely away from the city but if you need any shopping to do, you won't have to drive far. read more

The campground itself is clean enough, quiet and the personnel are incredibly nice and friendly. One even helped me lift a heavy hitch attachment, very accommodating and pleasant. The reason for the 3, and it probably should be a 2, is that we arrived on the 18th. The men's room reeked of feces and two stalls were out of order. Ok, I get that can happen. But when it was the same way 2 days later on the 20th I sent a text saying hey im a retired plumber, can I help? They responded that they were aware, parts were on order for one toilet and they would send housekeeping. Six days later same conditions. No change. I take a Pic over the locked doors and see one toilet completely off of the flange....thats the reason for the odor...direct communication with the sewer allowing the gasses back into the building. I text again, saying hey just put the toilet back where it belongs and put some water in it....that will fix it. I get the same response...waiting for parts to arrive any day and thanking me for my expertise. We left on the first and the toilets were in the same condition. To me, this was inexcusable because it was totally preventable. The place stunk like an outhouse the entire time we were there. Very poor management. read more

We stayed here one night on our way back home from a 2 week road trip. Luckily we were able to check in early, so our kids were able to take advantage of the pool. We have a 41' Class A Motorcoach and it was a bit of a tight fit with the trees. Having all the tree coverage was lovely, but the lower limbs definitely needed to be trimmed to be sure there was clearance for taller buses. We had a concrete pad with picnic table, which was perfect to pull out our gas grill and cook hamburgers and enjoy lunch outside. This was a very busy campground with lots of activities for families. Even though it was busy, it was still quiet enough to feel like you had privacy. The entrance was a bit tricky getting the bus into the campground, but once we got to the gate it was simple enough to maneuver. Check in isn't until 3:00pm, but if you're lucky enough to have a spot available you will be able to check in early for a small fee of $20. read more

Very nice park 3 stars due to the entrance being very small on a one way street. They also have a 20 dollar fee for arriving before 3 pm. We had decided to splurge and get a deluxe lot which has been very nice in size and amenities. The down side is there is traffic coming and going 24 hours a day because they are right next to the gate in and out. Still very busy place in November. read more

PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW BEFORE YOU GO! Especially if you have a big rig or are new to pulling an RV. Overall, this campground is clean and quiet. It's nice! BUT it has got to be the most difficult park we have ever had to pull into and park in. You need to know that this park has very narrow roads and spots. Very narrow. And, turning in here can be very challenging, especially at night. If you're traveling north (where you'll turn right off cooper into the park), it is VERY easy to miss the turn in. And if you miss it, turning around is yet another challenge. Good luck! If you're traveling south (where you'll turn into the park from to the left off cooper), you will need to go around the block in order to turn in on the other side. YOU CAN NOT TURN LEFT INTO THE PARK OFF COOPER. Because of the divide down the middle of cooper, you must essentially make a u-turn to get to the park entrance. We couldn't even do it in our truck. Imagine doing it with a long Rv. It's impossible. And whatever you do, do not turn into the parking lot that the left turn lane will put you in. With a rig, there will be no way to turn around and you'll have back out into traffic on cooper to get out of it!! So. This place it decent. But try to arrive in daylight if you can and be paying close attention. And have a good navigator. This is like fight-causing chaos here!! Map attached. Thank you for a warm welcome and stay! We are currently making a cross country trip and we stopped in at this KOA. This is our second time ever staying at a KOA with our first not being too great. Y'all changed our minds. We had a plumbing leak and requested ahead of time to be put near a bathroom because we would not have water access. Lisa helped us and put us right by the showers and bathroom... about 10 feet away! We are so thankful because we have a toddler and I'm pregnant, so it was very important for us. Lisa also helped us again by closing down the restroom while she cleaned so that my husband could help give my toddler a shower (there are no family restrooms). The front staff were extremely understanding while we were trying to get our leak fixed and allowed us to check out late with no added charge. Thank you again!! Additionally, the grounds and facilities were spotless and well maintained. I would have liked to see a bigger playground but cornhole was fun and they had a large chess/checker set. Don't let the location fool you... great campground! read more

We were going to stay for 5 nights but I'm looking for another rv park immediately. We are 3 feet from a 30 foot dead tree. Park staff said the tree was no danger. Really. we all know dead trees never loose branches. Grass is about 6 inches high. Dog area is about 10sq ft, next to a sewage ditch. Next door neighbors have a yard full of junk in the high grass. Over half the sites appear to be lived in full time. Many old crappy RVs. Internet is 2 out of 5 in strength. Haven't seen the bathrooms or pool but don't hold out much hope. This is our second time. We chose it because it was convenient for the airport and for the AT&T stadium (took an Uber there and back). The entrance is fairly tight for larger vehicles: looks like it used to be a store of some kind with the campground round the back fine to navigate once you are there. We had an end row site. Good length and level pitch. It was December so pool closed and nothing much going on but they did have pancake breakfast for $4 on Sunday. We bought propane and that was fine. Two separate dog parks, one for small and one for large dogs. Good sized laundry though it is not 24hours, opens at 8.30. They only have five individual shower rooms, each with a toilet. They were clean but could struggle if it's busy in the summer. Averaged around $70/night so relatively expensive for what they provide. read more

I updated this from 3 to 4 stars and I'll tell you why. I see the potential here. I really do. When I called the staff was very accommodating, efficient and kind but......$43 for a TENT spot on a random Wednesday night?!?!?! Now I haven't been camping in several years so I'll update my review if I'm just behind on the times, but that seems pretty steep considering I could find a hotel for not much more. When driving in I said to my husband, "Take a right after the mall," and that's where we realized this would be slightly different than what we anticipated. I can't dock them for their location, just pointing out it's in the middle of a huge shopping, restaurant and retail area. That being said, pulling into the park you wouldn't know it if it wasn't for the "nature sounds" of jets, helicopters, sirens and car horns. The tent sites were very clean and sat right along this adorable little creek/runoff area. There's this sweet little bridge that goes over it and within 2 minutes you're at the restrooms. Unfortunately, the adorable creek/runoff was completely filled with trash. We were pretty grossed out by the amount of junk that simply didn't belong in the scene surrounding the area and this is where I was prepared to leave a 3 star review. Until on the way out the owner or manager (someone who atleast cared) came out when we stopped at the front. We didn't go inside for anything but he came out when he saw us to apologize for the trash in the stream. He explained the runoff from the homeless camp up the road and said he has employees in there all the time picking stuff out but it just fills back up the next day. I'm not sure they are really picking up the trash as regularly as he claims but I appreciated that he would have preferred that it wasn't there. The campground was very clean from the tent area we stayed in to the RV spots. The bathrooms were clean aside from the water left from the previous tenant. I would stay here again if we needed to but I would probably look for a place that was cheaper if possible. UPDATE: Yeah, I'm just behind on the times as far as my knowledge of cost for tent camping. $43 is still steep in my mind for an area that has not much to offer someone looking for a tent experience but it wasn't the most expensive tent spot we ran across. I think $35 would be way more appropriate at this location for what you receive though. read more

So many changes over the past couple of years. The park is beautifully landscaped now, old campers are gone and really cleaned up. The store has a great mix of items from RV supplies to souvenirs. The staff is amazing, always waving, smiling and working throughout the park. Their pride in what they do is very evident! Some of the sites can be a little muddy when it rains, but clearly not their fault. The new patios are a nice touch! Love the new activities on the weekends. This may become a regular stop for me! read more

Stayed here for two nights because they could accommodate us with a long pull through. Wasn't the worst place ever, but won't stay again when we come back through. Too many permanent residents, way too many. Cars being worked on, people partying walking around with beer and liquor. We stayed here for six nights. Overall a decent campground with lots of amenities but there are some issues that need to be addressed. It is very large so a lot of little things go unchecked which add up. Good central location for Dallas and Ft Worth. The good: most sites are long, level, and easy to get in. Wifi is among the best we've seen. Washing machines were low cost and plentiful. Staff is present and friendly. Complementary trash pick up. The bad: lots of permanent residents for a KOA. Pool pump sounds like a 747 is flying overhead. Dog park was not maintained. Bathrooms were poorly stocked. I would consider staying here again, but probably would not recommend it until the above issues are fixed. read more

We stayed here last year and enjoyed it, this year July 2018, despite the heat! We continue to love this campground. The manager is fantastic and incredibly helpful and polite. The staff too smile and often you can hear them working with each other talking and laughing amongst themselves and with customers. A happy place to stay, but what about the campground? It has nice shady pull throughs big enough for most big rigs and long 5th wheels. Reliable 50 amp service. The sewer and electrical hook ups are located in the front quarter of the left side, a little unconventional but manageable. We had to extend our electric power cord all the way and connect an extra sewer hose, but really this is not a problem. The beautifully landscaped grounds are a delightful part of staying here along with the convenient location. A little city and air traffic noise sitting outside, but inside the coach is not heard. I gave this place a 1 because it had a nice super site. Everything else at this KOA was horrifying. The restrooms was a single portable trailer with 3 stalls. That's it!! The restrooms smelled awful. The pool was dirty. It has hair balls in multiple places and the water was cloudy. More than half of the trailers there are permanent residents. When we left we were able to see a staff member being arrested. Well out of the 6 KOAs on our trip so far this one was the worst. read more

I have always associated KOA with family, happiness and good memories. One visit to the KOA in Arlington, Texas changed that forever. On July 11th, I checked in with my RV and was assigned to spot 350. The following day, I picked up my kids and we spent our first night at KOA Arlington. We had a great time, going out to eat nearby, enjoyed the pool, and overall had an amazing time as a family. Unfortunately, Saturday the 15th was a different story altogether. That afternoon, my daughter's Hannah and Olivia were playing at the swimming pool. As children often do, Hannah and a friend she made, were diving to the bottom to pick up a stone they'd collected from the grounds. As I sat next to the pool enjoying my book, I noticed the group of regulars seated on the shallow side of the pool. It appeared that they all knew each other well, and took time to say hello and converse with several staff members. After considerable time, my daughter Hannah had a little spastic throw, and the small rock with which they were playing either hit or hit nearby a small boy playing in the shallow end. This throw was in no way intentional, nor thrown with any malice. I got to the end of my chair to claim Hannah as my daughter and apologize for her accident, however the group descended upon my daughter as if she was a murderer. As they took turns berating her for having rocks in the pool, I watched her cower as 5 or 6 strangers chastised my daughter. As I witnessed this for several moments, I became unable to hold my tongue, which resulted in a loud argument with myself on one side, and the group on the other. While I am guilty of raising my voice, and using profanity, the entire incident could have ended there. Unfortunately, I was asked to leave the pool and we were told that we would be kicked out of the park "By tonight." As we left the pool, guest of the park AND employees took turns surrounding our RV. My daughters were petrified and called their Mother in Mesquite. Phone records will reflect those calls, along with texts messages confirming what my daughters were enduring while I left to take my boys to a friend's house. While I was gone, a letter was taped to our door, ejecting us from the park. I phoned the management team and was told I was being forced to leave for my behavior. I arranged to meet them when I returned to my daughters. As my daughters and I stood outside our RV awaiting management, we were approached by employee Kyle, who identified himself as an employee of the park. With pepper spray held firmly in his right hand, he asked "are you the one starting shit? I'm here to end it." Clearly, I was shocked as I was waiting for management. I then told my daughter to start filming with her iPhone. At that point, Kyle threatened to end my life in front of my daughters, and said he didn't care what they saw. Meanwhile, Bill and his wife, the security officer of the park (who evidently is selling illicit substances from his trailer based on the vehicle traffic all hours of the night), and several other friends of the staff descended upon the three of us. My daughters watched on as Kyle threatened their father, but thankfully Hannah could capture the incident on video. I'll be happy to have my lawyer send you this, should it go to trial, but suffice it to say, he identifies himself as an employee and threatens my life. It's probably not going to look good for KOA should it go viral. Finally, after Bill and his wife (The managers) pulled Kyle aside and listened to my side of the incident, I was given one more night to stay, despite the 9 days left on my reservation, and Bill offered to purchase our breakfast the following morning. The following morning could have gone without incident, and this could have all be water under the bridge, but unfortunately, the group from the previous day decided to gloat and make a mockery of us as we left. From poolside, we were insulted, threatened and overall made to feel inferior. Even as KOA employees joined in, my daughters looked at me with confusion. As much as I'd like to be able to explain it to them, I can't. Kyle proceeded to follow us to the office, were he followed me inside again and continued his threats. Joining Kyle, were his brother, mother and friends whom are also KOA employees. I truly don't understand how an incident concerning children can result in the death threats of a guest and this behavior from employees of your organization. I would appreciate your attention in this matter, and I await your reply. read more

I rented a premium site for 6 nights. The premium site was near the entrance and not near the amenities such as restrooms, showers, and swimming pool. Additionally, being near the entrance, we got all the traffic all day and all night - motorcycles were the worst. The cars and the staff golf carts raced through the park like they were on their way to a fire. The speed bumps were of no consequence to them. The premium site was supposed to have a barbecue grill. It did. It was filthy and the gas tank was empty. A complaint to the office took 2 days to resolve. I had to take my own grill out to prepare a meal for guests. The site was too narrow for a 5th wheel with slides. When my slides were extended they hung over the sidewalk on one side and came within 2" of the electrical pedestal on the other side. The security gates didn't work most of the time. You pretty much had to wait for someone to exit so you could sneak in the open gate. I would not stay at this park again. read more

My family and I rented a deluxe cabin. Found hairs on our linen. Deluxe cabins are right near entrance to the park which is deceptive because the rear of the park seems to have permanent residents in run down campers. The pool was kind of dirty. All kinds of things floating around. The location of the campgrounds is in an urban area with strip malls right outside the gate. On the bright side, the staff was awesome. Very friendly and nice. We had a great five night stay. The whole campground was well maintained. You would never know you were one block away from a major road in a large city - Inside you feel like you are in the country. The bathrooms are modern and super clean. The camp store has everything you need and the managers and staff were all super nice. You can't go wrong with a booking here! We were passing through and had a 1 night reservation. We came in late after an accident on the road with our trailer. The office left the instructions for us and the only little glitch was thee is a sign at the gate that says entry card required. We spent a while searching the ground thinking it must have fallen out of our envelope and didn't realize until later there is no card- it's a gate code they put on your paperwork. Worked out. We had a deluxe pull through site close to the front. Nice size with a grill and a seating area with table and chairs and a glider. There was a comfortable amount of space between the sites... but not like a state park, of course. The man on site was extremely helpful in every way. As I mentioned we had a problem with our trailer and he checked in on us several times, let us borrow a jack and even gave us a piece of metal to help get us back on the road. I give him 10 stars and will be writing to their office and corporate to let them know of his beyond expectations helpfulness. The park was VERY full but also surprisingly quiet. Lots of Packers fans in for a game. The park is super clean. They had a quiet little music around the campfire scene close to the pool. The building that houses the laundry, restrooms and kitchen were very clean and smelled of fresh laundry. Sometimes buildings with showers smell a little weird but this was not the case at all here. There is a mixture of campers - some look like they might be permanent tenants and then they have tent sites and all sizes of trailers. The surrounding area is shopping centers, restaurants and a major street so anything you need isn't far away. We appreciated the help and clean park - good location in the city. read more

It was clean, t.v. and a.c. such a plus in 100 degree Texas weather. This campground has a lot oslf residents, which was fine for us. I didnt get a family friendly vibe here. The dog parks are awesome, one for little dogs and one for big dogs. Now to why they get 3 stars before bed our pup started playing with a bug, thinking it was a beetle I went over to get it. It wasn't a beetle, it was a cockroach. I was absolutely disgusted. To say the least, I slept with the lights on for the rest of the night. I will not being staying at this KOA again. read more

This is a trailer park not a campground. We travel mostly on the east coast and have always found the KOA to be predictable but this is def not what we are used too. I'm suspect of the other reviews that say it's great!! Staff is nice enough but the park is not what I would choose for a vacation. We are here for business otherwise we would choose another park. During the night lots of traffic because of perm residents and the speed limit not enforced. Abandoned cars that obviously been here a long time. I can't believe corp Ofc let's this happen. If you read the reviews I think you can tell real ones from fake ones. I wish the owners luck but we like camping with other campers not perm residents. Can't recommend this place because I've stayed at many KOA and this isn't the norm read more

We stayed a few nights here the first week in October. Best advice I am give BRING BUGSPRAY!! The bugs just don't quit! There's quite a few long term residents here so it's hard to get a spot for a week or shorter. We did have a very large site large grassy area to enjoy and a table and swing bench. It's a short walk to the pool area messhall/laundry/shower/restroom building. They do have 5 washers and dryers. We did take them up on the $4 pancake breakfast that included fruit, oj, coffee, and sausage. The pancakes were plate sized one was enough for most. A second kinda made you regret eating two. That area was a tad crowded. They should remove two tables six was way too crowded. When two small kids couldn't sit back to back you knew it was tight. The pool is well kept and was hardly occupied. I had the pool to myself which was nice. No hot tub but lots of chairs to lounge. The pool was around 75F. Given it was 90F most of the days we stayed it was refreshing. They do only have 5 shower/bathrooms near the pool. It'd be nice if there was an outdoor shower to shower prior and after the pool so you wouldn't have to wait. One night I gave up on waiting and walked dripping back to my site. The front off staff is friendly and they have basic supplies for a reasonable price. There is a Walmart superstore 1.5 miles away and a target so you have options. read more

We are full-time RVer's, my husband's job sent him to Dallas for training and we know that KOA's have expectations of cleanliness which we like. I called and made reservations for a month; understood that the camper had to be newer than 15 years old (we are well within that range), the lady explained that we had to have current tags and registration which it did and explained the costs. No problem. We made the reservation in advance and had plans to move our residency to Texas before getting to Dallas but the job called and moved up the date that we had to be there. We were in another part of Texas working and the time we scheduled to change everything was no longer there so we would complete the residency change while in the Dallas area. In the meantime, the registration on our car expired, everything else still current. They took our money and got us checked in but said we had a week to get current registration on the car. 1.) I do not feel it is their place to rudely tell us how much time we have to renew something. We are in the middle of changing states and one week (with working M-F 7-4 in Dallas) was not going to be enough time to complete everything. 2.) The manager, Lea is very rude. I get that she wants a clean campground and I appreciate that, however, the time frame for us taking care of our own registration and moving to Texas is not and should not be any of her business; we are neat, clean people, very quiet, have no pets or children to cause any problems so my car tag is the last thing she needed to be worried about. 3.) Out of curiosity, I wanted to know just how many other out of date tags there were in the park and easily found 3 right away. Living full time on the road and when things out of your control happen sometimes makes it difficult to take care of things before they expire. It's not ideal, I don't like it but the way she handled it was completely unacceptable. She could have said, I understand, thank you for explaining your situation and I know you are on top of it, that is all she had to say. I would have the utmost respect for her if she did, but no, she had to make me feel like I was a criminal trying to live somewhere for free or something which is not even close to who we are. We are professionals and do not need to be treated like we are a nuisance. My husband's job extended the amount of time he would be in Dallas but we had no desire to extend our stay with this KOA; we found another campground to go to for the second month. Normally, I do not even bother with reviews but sometimes the people, the managers, make all the difference and the manager and assistant manager at this KOA is the ONLY reason we will never come back. The campground is well maintained, could not ask for better bathrooms or grounds but there is not way in hell I will give people my business who treat me like dirt and that is exactly how they treated us for no reason. Oh and they also assumed we had noisy dogs, guess not liking their attitudes put them on their bad people list and it must be us with the noisy dogs in the outside pen, nope, instead of walking or riding the campground themselves to see they call me assuming the dogs were ours, really?? We have no pets and those dogs have been here since before we were here, the first thing I noticed was 3 noisy dogs two campers down. I never complained, although I feel it's a campground and not a residence and those dogs did make a lot of noise but I don't start trouble and it is not my place to do so. So they can ignore the fact that this camper had 3 noisy dogs for a month but wanted to give me a week to take care of an out of state expired tag that we were in the process of moving residency and were taking care of it, just not in their time frame. We lost a month on our tags, had to make 2 trips out of town and pay for 2 different state tags because of their rudeness.
