When I first walked in, the woman at the front desk rolled her eyes, was cold, and spoke to me in a condescending and dismissive tone. I went back out to my car to get the information she needed, thinking perhaps I had simply caught her at a bad moment. When I returned, I was met with the same cold, dismissive attitude while she took my contact information. I was already dealing with a stressful car situation, and instead of feeling welcomed or helped, I was made to feel as though I was bothering her simply by coming in for a service their business provides. At that point, I finally said, "That's okay, I'll go somewhere else," and left. I can't comment on the quality of their mechanical work because I never gave them the opportunity to work on my vehicle. What I can comment on is how I was treated as a potential customer. Customer service matters. People walking into an auto repair shop may already be stressed, worried about whether their car is safe, and concerned about how much everything is going to cost. There is absolutely no reason to greet a customer with eye-rolling and a condescending attitude--especially someone who is simply asking for help and trying to understand the process. I came in prepared to give a local business my money. Instead, their customer service sent me directly out the door. There are plenty of other repair shops in the area where customers can be treated with basic courtesy and respect. That's where I'll be taking my business.

A local mechanic shop with a good business in car inspections…read more I was referred her by a friend and Chris's automotive repair for a Massachusetts car inspection and have had our inspections done here for years. The lines can be long for inspections, especially at the first and end of the month. There is a line for inspections formed by cones. The experience varies by who you get. Two of the older mechanics have been very nice. I did have on youth in the past who was a bit kurt and may have been having a bad day. The inspection was business like and efficient. There is a small area for the owners. The inspection area is for mechanics only. Tip: Have your registration and cash payment ready. This speeds up the process. There is a sign on the wall with the amount. My mechanic today was Romy (forgive me if misspelled), and he was professional, polite, and efficient. The inspection area is clean, organised, and the floor is well swept. The is a restroom inside the mechanic area. I am not sure if it is still available for patrons. Tip: Use a restroom prior to dropping by. Repair hours, as of August 2022, are 8 AM - 5 PM. Inspection hours are 8 AM - 2 PM. However, on my visit they stayed open past 2 to serve all those in line. This is a good choice and we shall return.

These guys KNOW Land Rovers on an almost spiritual level. Let's face it, Land Rovers/Range Rovers are a specialist vehicle, you just can't go to the local garage and expect them to know these complex machines, they can be temperamental but the rewards are so sweet.. I have had several maintenance and preventative maintenance jobs done on my baby and each time i've been blown away by the transparent honesty of the staff. On a recent oil change visit the guys changed my oil and filter and i was on my way home when suddenly smoke appeared from under the hood. For me.......Very scary. Called Jim who was genuinely concerned about my safety and wanted the truck back ASAP. Upon my return the mechanics came out like an E.R. team and had my hood, engine cover and me removed from the O.R. stat! A defective oil seal gasket was the root cause, a simple manufacturing defect had sprayed oil all over the entire engine bay (after the car got warm) and of course the oil was running out like a waterfall from every nook and cranny. After they had replaced the filter and gasket and topped off the oil JW's didn't want me to take my car that day, they wanted to keep the patient for an over night stay for observation and they put me in a rental car. Next day Jim kept me informed on the up to date going's on and the mechanics wanted to thoroughly go over every part of the engine to make sure there were no other issues. I got to pick up my car the next day, when i got to the garage my baby had been to the spa! New oil and filter change, and spotlessly clean, i knew they were going to power wash and degrease the engine to get rid of all the oil that had sprayed out but i didn't realize they were going to do a full detail on the entire car, all at no charge!!! Customer service is a priority for these guys and when it comes to my car i'm a demanding customer, i'm the guy that goes around the car with a white glove after a service, i've had my car from new and she's almost 9 years old now (106 months!) i know every inch of my baby and she's never looked or felt better!

My wife owns a 2012 Land Rover and I brought her car in to have an oil change and a pre-existing issue looked into. After a ballpark of around 6-8 hours and asking to agree to 3 separate diagnostic fees costing $450-$500 and that's correct diagnostic fees. I was later told we can't find anyone wrong with my transmission shifting but some contraption or gauge needs to be looked at. Now, here's the interesting thing here. I had to call them as it was getting late and there's no courtesy transport available. So, not on was I unconvinced I was overcharged and had to go out my way after hours to pick up my vehicle and was told don't arrive too late as the Police take notice. If you're a pre-existing customer you probably look at my post and say this guy is crazy but I got to tell you this place will take your money and then accuse you of not reading the fine print. Good Luck to anyone that trust this company. I'll be making sure that this is public knowlege.

The tech. rode with me patiently in the car to help diagnose it. I don't think most mechanics would have rode with me as long and as patiently as he did, nor would they have the skill to diagnose. I found prices to be very fair and, in fact, less than the dealership. They don't use factory replacement parts, but nowadays, after-market parts are usually the same quality and sometimes better. Although my rear brakes were the problem, I asked about prices for the front brakes. They were very upfront about the fact that when they replace brake pads in a small car like mine, they also replace the rotors. Since these rotors are already quite thin, to machine them down more (instead of replacing) would risk screwing up the whole braking system and eventually costing more. I know garages that would just do as you ask - replace the break pads and machine down the rotors - even to the point where it would become unsafe and cause more problems. This shows me that these guys are concerned about their reputation and will only do a job if they can do it correctly. They also do it at a reasonable price. Does that sound like most auto repair shops you know of?

I hit black ice and did some damage to my tie rods 3 to be exact. Knowing they were booked solid they managed to fit me and and fix my front end and do alignment . To me they went above and beyond to help me get back on the road. You see I'm only here visiting my family till the 29th, I was honestly expecting to pay $$$ but to my surprise it was well below what I thought it would cost. The price was very very reasonable !! We pulled into Norwood Gulf Station, and were so fortunate to meet Luis. Even though the garage was super busy, and it was an hour before they closed, Luis immediately pointed out the problem (a front caliper) and had the parts delivered immediately. He kept us updated throughout, and had us safely back on the road to continue our much needed Moms' weekend away.
