Dalehead Arch brings West Drive over the bridle path near West 64th Street.
This stone arch vehicle bridge was built between 1860 and 1862.
This sandstone and brownstone arch also includes the quatrefoil cutout design that appears on many of the original 19th century bridges in Central Park.
It's one of many in the park where you can view an intricate red brick design while walking through it. At times I have seen musicians play here due to the acoustics. read more
