Extremely disappointed. We ordered what was presented as a legitimate product, only to receive a…read morepair of DC snow boots in very poor condition. The box was so aggressively over-taped that it ripped apart while opening, and the boots literally fell out. One boot was clearly a display model, visibly dirty, scuffed, and worn, showing obvious signs of being in and out of bindings and tried on countless times. After some digging, it appears this display boot dates back to around 2012, which makes this even more unacceptable. It still had an ink security tag attached, suggesting little to no quality control. When contacting customer service, the interaction was calm but completely unhelpful -the representative was disengaged and dismissive, offering no real solution. We were also told we'd have to send the boots back and wait for them to receive the return before any refund, which meant we couldn't afford to buy replacement boots in the meantime. Charging $140 for mismatched, outdated display boots and backing it up with poor customer support is misleading and unacceptable. This was meant to be a Christmas gift, and instead it turned into frustration and extra stress. I would not recommend this shop. Edit to add: The business responded stating I asked for an "80% discount with free shipping." What I actually asked was whether they would reasonably work with me on price after sending boots that were clearly used, damaged, and later identified as old display boots--without that being disclosed beforehand. A $40 discount on a $140 charge did not reflect the condition or age of the product. I'm adding this clarification so buyers have full context.

I was looking for some new ski boots because getting my old ones on took all my energy. I'm 72 years old so the things I used to be able to do with ease are much harder now. They were great at recommending a boot for me and the price they gave me was $100 less than anywhere else. Believe me I looked hard, as I am on a fixed income so every dollar counts. Once I ordered my boots I began second guessing my size because even though I'm old I used to be an expert skier and still want great performance. So I sent them a message asking for the next size down and it wasn't a problem at all. They were happy to make the change and sent me the size I requested without a single problem. These people have my highest recommendation... seriously!

Christy's is wonderful. I live in Texas and only get to ski a few times a year: ten days, tops…read more Whenever I do, I typically rent skis at Christy's, and their gear is always up to date and in impeccable condition. I own my own boots, though. I recently ordered a new pair and, impatient to test them out, headed to the mountain before having them adjusted. After the first run, I was in soul-sapping pain, the kind of pain that can quickly spoil a trip. I hopped in the car and went straight to Christy's. I explained my situation to the boot fitter, Slater. I was concerned that my boots were too narrow. Slater measured my foot and reassured me that they were indeed the right fit. Even though I hadn't purchased the boots at Christy's, he suggested that we start by molding the liners. That helped, though I still had a bit of a hotspot. Slater then recommended punching out the boots above my inner ankle. "This'll take some time," he said. "Why don't you get some lunch and I'll have these ready when you come back." The next day I skied pain-free. All exaggeration aside, Slater saved my ski trip. I'm grateful to him for that. Not only did he make my visit a pleasant one -- and not just mine, but clearly his other customers', as well -- but he also ensured that I'll remain a Christy's customer for years to come in the confidence that whatever happens, they'll have my back (or feet, as it were). Thanks to Slater and the rest of the Christy's staff.
