Sequoia was our server and she created a welcoming atmosphere for our meal with her amazing service. My husband and I split a Pesto Chicken Sandwich and Cesar Salad. The ambience was perfect weather with a golf course view on the patio. I wanted a Fruity cocktail to start with and Sequoia recommended Berries on Bermuda which was a tasty delight and complimented our crispy chicken sandwich. I love dessert and Sequoia mentioned that berry crumble is her favorite over the chocolate cake.. I usually always have chocolate but I went with her professional opinion and it paid off it was sweet and gooey and I highly recommended it now over the chocolate cake because we were so impressed with this place and Sequoias amazing service we returned back to it for breakfast the next day and we decided to return for dinner at the bar inside which they even had a Holiday Concert series with live entertainment as well. We sat at the bar and met a lovely couple and danced in our chairs to the great music. Overall we can't wait to return here on our next trip. My husband…read moreand I were staying here because of it proximity to Los Osos Cemetery for a funeral we were attending and we were arriving early on Friday before the service and we spoke with Debbie at the front desk to accommodate an early check in if possible to freshen up from the 6 hour drive up to the resort. Debbie was so helpful and set us up with room 209 which provided such a peaceful view and experience under such difficult circumstances of our friend's passing. We enjoyed every aspect of this resort. The clubhouse provided delicious meals and we even enjoyed chipping and putting practice. We can't wait to return here for another visit.

We were greeted immediately by a very friendly waitress, who set us up at a table for eight with a spectacular view of Morro Rock in the back bay. My husband and I had been here for hors d'oeuvres before, so we had scoped out the menu. I knew whatever I had should involve some coconut shrimp. I ordered a Sauvignon Blanc while we contemplated the menu. One couple of our party ordered pasta with shrimp or pasta with salmon. My husband got the grilled chipotle salmon, and a couple of us got the captain's plate which had a big assortment of fried coconut shrimp, calamari, and fish on a bed of fries. It's the most spectacular view on the coast and it is perfectly set up as a happy hour hors d'oeuvre bar. There's a long bar, many different sized tables and even an outdoor area with tables on the porch. The food might be kind of standard fair but it's well done and it's very generous portions. The bartenders very skilled at making drinks. The server even suggested a honeybee martini which sounded very tempting, but most of us stuck to wine. The servings are very generous. The food is crisp and succulent seafood. The extravagant chipotle salmon was a little bit spicy, but well cook cooked throughout with delicate rice under it. Several people in this group have a prodigious sweet tooth, so we perused the desert menu after the meal. One couple got the triple berry tart, while my husband and I split the cheesecake. As a former New Yorker, I have high standards for cheesecake and this was a good B+ effort. It could've benefited from some caramel sauce or maybe more fruit on it. When I attended, the venue was set up as one very large room for dining. Rectangular tables (rented) covered with tablecloths (rented) were pushed together to make very long tables. It was just what the event called for and my friends (the renters) were pleased. They loved having the kitchen because they made large quantities of food themselves and avoided a large catering fee. Purchased food and ingredients fit very well into the large refrigerator. The parking lot has about 60 spaces; some of the guests parked on the street which ends not far from the center so is basically a cul-de-sac, making it easy enough to turn around and park on the opposite side from the center if you need to. There was an event going on at the nearby public library, but there were still enough spaces for everyone. There is a park next to the event center which is good if you need a moment away from a crowded rented room. However, I noticed that all of us parking for the event center kept people from being able to park for the playground right next to it; I felt a bit bad about that.

My dog and I had a good stay, but I won't stay again they need to fix the mold issues, the sliding doors and screen door, and price needs to reflect what your getting, paying $400 including the discount price for two nights on a weekday is not worth it.
