The sandwich was good, but there was no garnish. The sandwich was pressed with lots of meat. You'd think they could add a bit of lettuce or something to not make it look so sparse. The Pot Roast Burger (dang that sounds tasty), Baonator BLT (oh, man, I love lots of bacon on a BLT!), Louies Italian Roast Beef (yum, served on a garlic butter hoagie bun) or one of their amazing Paninis? How to choose? We decided on the Italian roast beef, and it was great. I'm going to admit I have a problem with lunch places, especially when I come after the noon rush because so many times the French fries are sad, barely warm wilted fries and the hot sandwich isn't much better. Let me tell you right now that Louies makes sure the hot sandwiches are steaming hot and the fries are crispy and right out of the fries. I was in lunch heaven! Just know all the restaurant meat comes from their own butcher shop right down the street, Louie's Finer Meats, another must stop when in town. Both places will bring joy to your taste buds!

We drove through Cumberland and looked for a spot to eat. I found Nezzy's on Yelp and decided to…read moregive it a try based on the reviews. The restaurant is actually located in the back of the building. We parked street side since the back was full from festival ride and food trucks setting up for an event. The place was busy. Not a seat left at the bar. The tables were pretty full so we immediately thought we made a great decision stopping at Nexxy's. Unfortunately it took a while for the server to come by our table. That was okay but she immediately went to handle tables of locals she obviously knew that walked in after us. When the sever took our order she didn't seem very happy but we smiled and tried to be as friendly as we could and she warmed up. For being so busy, our server was the only server on duty. I believe the owner had to com out and help. We ordered cocktails and our server made sure they were made correctly which was great. We split the bacon burger and a large pepperoni & olive pizza. The burger was dry, we ordered a medium burger but it appeared to be a frozen patty so obviously there is no way to make it medium. The thin crust pizza was not crispy but soggy, however it did have decent flavor. We would have ordered more drinks but the server never came back to ask us if we wanted another drink, she just dropped off the check and walked away. This is definitely a locals spot so you will get great service if they know you. If you're not a local, you may be waiting a while.

Mainly burgers on the small menu - no surprise given their name. We started with a beer and an order of their deep fried cauliflower with a Buffalo wing hot sauce. They were tasty but a total rip off. A very small serving for $9! I got the mushroom Swiss double burger which was a juicy mess and quite good. I not a big fan of smash burgers since they are often overcooked and I like my burgers medium rare but this one was better. $16 felt a bit much. My wife got the classic burger and liked it for a smash burger. Service was good but the cauliflower price for what we got really colored our experience.

Customer service was a little lackluster. We tried the veggie burger, fries, and cheese curds. The burger was alright, the fries were dry and could definitely use some seasoning, and the cheese curds were chewy with an odd texture. Maybe burgers and shakes are where they shine. Not terrible, just not really our style. Cute idea, mediocre date. ‍

However, they do have all the current restaurant favorites like various breakfast dishes, hamburgers, enchiladas, etc. We stopped in on a Sunday morning. It was packed. Definitely a locals spot filled with everyone from families, seniors and even road construction crews. The restaurant is definitely older and even has an old style dessert display case. I didn't catch our servers name but she was very friendly and efficient. Considering how busy it was she never left us wait for service and consistently filled coffee and water glasses. I ordered the eggs Benedict with hash browns. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the hash browns were nice and crispy. I felt the hollandaise sauce was a bit heavy and I didn't really taste that light and lemon flavor you usually get with hollandaise sauce. But, overall a tasty breakfast dish. My husband ordered eggs over hash browns with a cheddar cheese sauce. He said it was good but the sauce definitely rich and heavy. Not much flavor. The server leaves the check on your table and you pay up front at the register. Overall we liked the breakfast experience. We may stop in again and check out one of their dinner type specials.
