The only reason I gave 2 stars is because of the mediocre chicken(Which is pretty generous) and they actually charge you extra if you want more barbecue sauce(The packets are tiny) which is just outrageous. Quitman Dairy Queen is so slow, you could balance your checkbook and knit a sweater in the drive thru. It took 20 minutes to get our food and I was third in line. They have signs all over the place apologizing for not having enough employees which is supposed to be the reason why business is slow. I could have cooked and served the food by myself in less time. So all these signs say to me is pay a little more and maybe you'll attract some people. read more

This place is absolutely awful! We went there today around 11am to get some lunch before we headed to the pool. The lady at the front counter (older, thin gray curly hair, a little more heifer set) immediately threw off rude behavior towards us, hurrying us up with ordering and trying to get us to order different things. She delivered our food to us and made it seem like such a hastle to bring it us even though we were less than 10 feet away. We had a kids meal free ice cream whatever for our meal as well and when we went up to the front to go get the ice cream cone in butterscotch like how we have done at all the other Dairy Queen's around here and the same lady decided to lecture us about how people think they can get whatever they want and that how all DQ's are different and owner by different people who decide what they want to do. she then tried to get us to pay extra money for a free kids cone with some butterscotch sauce. The lady also brought up star ice cream for some reason?? We just said that's what's done at our DQ and the lady just tried everything to stop us from getting some free ice cream for a ten year old. she then told us to read the coupon that what we wanted wasn't on there. We frequent this DQ often since it's one of the only places close that offers decent ice cream in our area. I can say that we have never been here and not waited for at least 15-20 minutes whether we're the first in line or the last. Customer service is usually atrocious as well. It seems as if the girls that work the window are absolutely miserable and are non-responsive to any type of courtesy given to them by the customer. It's unfortunate because I've always been a fan of DQ but my business will get carried to Sonic from now on. read more

For some reason they insist on putting some sort of flavor in the iced tea. When I order iced tea (and it's always unsweet), I want crisp clean refreshing tea. If I wanted mint or whatever it is they add to it I would ask for it. It overwhelms the flavor. They should not be allowed to do this. Three times this past year I've gotten tea from them and I always forget they screw it up with whatever they put in it. What a waste of money. Two times I've ordered cheese sticks and they're blown apart and the cheese is not even inside the casing. Why would they serve it that way? I grew up when Dairy Queen was the only fast food restaurant in town. Never had any problem with the food before at DQ until now. On Tuesday, January 13, 2015, three members of my family had chicken strips that had pink in middle. 9 out of 12 strips were under cooked and had to be replaced. Hopefully some employee got additional training on the deep fryer. Otherwise an average DQ experience. read more
