One cold winter evening, my family and I were driving home from chess lessons. I convinced my mother to stop at Sonic. I was enthralled by the idea of an Oreo-filling shake. We pushed the red button, and waited for someone to respond. Once they finally did, we placed our order: One m&m, Oreo filled shake, two slushes, and one large Coke. We then proceeded to wait for 15 minutes. My mother wanted to go home because of the approaching ice storm, but clearly my shake was more important. I finally got my shake, and it was delicious. At home, however, I was disgusted when I found a hair in my shake. We called Sonic, and they took our name for a free one. On another visit, I asked for my shake and she said that they did not have my name. She gave me a mini for my trouble, but I had ordered a medium on the first occasion. This may seem like an overreaction, but that is a very large price difference. On all of my visits to Sonic, the wait has been at least several minutes long. Even if we have only ordered a lemonade, we consistently wait for a ridiculous amount of time. On several occasions, we have waited for up to 15 minutes, only to find that they have messed up our order. The employees are nearly always rude. Sometimes even snapping at us when we change our order. I understand that having my little brother shout his order out of the window is difficult to deal with. However, my mother having to deal with three kids all shouting our orders at her is even more difficult. My shake came with a hair in it. This is unacceptable. I understand that you may be in a hurry, but hygiene is of the utmost importance. In summary, Sonic can have delicious food. That is, if they get your order correct before you leave out of frustration for the wait. I also suggest you watch out for a hairy surprise the next time you decide to order a shake.
