My intention is not to criticize anyone personally, but to bring this matter to your attention so it can hopefully be addressed. This morning, I purchased two disposable vape products at Shaggy's Den Smoke Shop. I specifically asked whether they contained menthol, as I cannot use menthol-flavored products. I was assured they did not. However, when I opened them in my car, both had a distinct cooling/menthol flavor. A couple of hours later, I returned to the store and was told that exchanges or refunds were not allowed. I then purchased two additional products that the employee again stated were not menthol. I opened one in the store, took a single puff, and immediately noticed it was menthol as well. After looking up the product online--since the employee was unsure--it appeared that all varieties of that product include a cooling/menthol effect. I chose not to open the second one. Despite the circumstance, I was still not offered a refund--only a flavor exchange--which would not have solved the issue given that all options seem to contain menthol. This situation was extremely frustrating, especially as I was attempting to save money by waiting to purchase a full vape kit. Unfortunately, I ended up spending the same amount I would have spent on the device I originally wanted. By this point, I was very upset. My husband took me back to the same shop to purchase an actual vape kit, since it is something I use regularly. When I opened it at home, I discovered the box had no plastic seal, and the second coil, charger, and small accessory pieces were missing entirely. It appears the product had previously been opened or tampered with, yet I was sold it at full price. Overall, I left feeling extremely discouraged--not only because menthol makes me physically ill, but because the staff seemed unfamiliar with the products they were selling and provided incorrect information multiple times. Between the inaccurate product descriptions, lack of support when trying to resolve the issue, and the incomplete vape kit, the entire experience has been deeply disappointing. I wanted to make sure someone in a higher position was aware of what occurred. I hope this feedback can help improve training, product handling, and customer support going forward.
