My health has been up and down my entire life (chronic fatigue, migraines, anxiety, digestion issues etc) and I had gotten NO WHERE with traditional doctors through my insurance who keep trying to push a new prescription drug on me every time I see them. I knew some basics about Ayurveda already through my own research and decided that seeing someone who specializes in it would be the best solution for me. I found Britt online and was fairly apprehensive to see her after having a terrible previous experience from another person I found on Yelp. We had a short initial consultation call and I got off the phone feeling unsure about whether or not she had asked enough questions or if she would be able to actually help me (everyone else had tried to 'sell' me for an hour). However, when I met her I was BLOWN AWAY!! I soon realized the reason our call was so short: Britt is the type of person that you HAVE to meet in person (although I'm sure she's great for remote clients too). She has such an intuitive sense about her that really guides the sessions- which is SO SO SO important for me when meeting with people because I pick up on things like that instantly. It's a very special quality that is rarely embodied in the way that Britt is able to present + integrate it into her practice... and, I don't even know if she KNOWS she is doing it but I could tell right away that she is very gifted. I have a hard time describing her- but she's like an intuitive guide, life coach, therapist, friend, spiritual being and Ayurvedic expert wrapped into one lovely human. She's the type of person that you could talk to and listen to for days and makes you feel incredibly safe + validated. She listened while I unloaded 25+ years of various traumas onto her and picked up on many things about me that I didn't even realize myself. She also instantly picked up on things that I had been working with a life coach on for YEARS, which is truly just amazing. She was able to identify my type (Vata-Pitta- which was different than any other quiz had told me and DEAD on) and create a plan specifically for me. Because my type tends to be sporadic, non committal and inactive when overwhelmed- she made sure my plan was perfectly tailored with those traits in mind. I left feeling excited, empowered, loved and ready to take things on- which is often NOT how I feel when leaving sessions like this so it truly was overall just the best experience. This is my first yelp review ever and I'm only motivated to do it based on how my symptoms have improved after seeing Brittany. I was not sure what to expect when I contacted Britt a year ago because I didn't know much about Ayurveda.
