I was referred by my son's piano teacher who said it would be around $70 for regular tuning. He came out and tested my piano and told me it would be $95 for a tuning and an additional $65 for the pitch raise. Before he started working, he told me that it would take two more visits costing around $400 total.
He completed the 1/2 pitch raise within an hour and a half and I paid him for this visit. After he left, I checked prices with other local tuners and discovered that the other businesses were asking $75 for tunig and $20~40 for pitch raise and if it requires more than one pitch raise, they would charge just an additional pitch raise cost, not tuning and pitch raise for each visit.
I was dissatisfied by his work, and very upset by his prices. read more
