From the quote, paint selections, preparation, painting and walk through. I really appreciated how they took the time to properly prep the outside for painting as well as moving and covering items they wouldn't want damaged in the process. They were very careful and respectful of our property. All the workers were very courteous and pleasant. The office staff were also friendly and attentive to any queries. We were so happy with the job they did that we now have them renovating 2 bathrooms and a kitchen. Everything is going very smoothly.

The office staff kept us informed of all the details required for us to prep the area to ensure success from the power washing thru the priming, painting, and detailed touch ups. The on-site crew were always friendly, on-time, and cleaned up thoroughly when the project was complete. They touched base with us to ensure the paint scheme was going according to plan, and brought extra touches that as we admire the final job, we notice the care and detail the crew brought to areas we hadn't looked at closely in the years we've lived here. We look forward to using Antonis Construction again as we have other projects that fit within their expertise. Highly recommend!

Travis held my hand through every decision, was always available to answer my questions, was very honest and hard-working. We are so thrilled with how it turned out and we will be using him and his team for more projects in the future. His guys, Ryan, Jaime, & everyone else did a fantastic job. Every person who walked into my home, has worked with Travis for the last 10 to 20 years. That made me very trusting of who was in my home when I was there and when I wasn't there. It is very challenging to find a trustworthy contractor who is not only good at communicating, but is also very good at their job. Thank you, Travis and team!

We can't believe this is our house! We've had a couple of friends hire him now to do their projects! Travis walked into our patched-together 50 year old house and understood our vision for opening up the floor plan and letting more light in. He worked within our budget to draw up a quote that met our vision, while also recommending items that could easily be isolated and saved for a later project date without having to re-do any of this initial work (like refacing the fireplace, re-doing the back patio). He was patient and helpful through the architect and permitting phase and had great recommendations for local cabinet, tile and plumbing stores that allowed us to get great quality finishes within our budget. Every sub-contractor that he brought in for specialized pieces like our master shower tile, shower glass, flooring and insulation were friendly and did absolutely top of the line work. He is also very clever at figuring out solutions to curveballs that our house threw and could take our crazy Pinterest pictures and piece them together to build custom solutions like the bench in the master shower. Overall our project included a major overhaul and upgrade to our electrical panel / electrical service to the street, major plumbing upgrades, new windows, a master bathroom addition and a complete interior paint/flooring refresh and remodel including a complete kitchen remodel (with removing load bearing walls to create an open concept) and hall bath remodel. Our house of 16 years is now a sturdy, safe home we can spend the next 50 years in - Travis didn't cut any corners and understood that this needs to be our dream home that will last "generations" as he put it. He's an honest guy with old fashioned values and you just won't find a better team to take on your project.

Before you read this review, understand please that I purposely waited several months to write…read morethis. That's because I wanted to see if A2C kept its word. If A2C followed through. If A2C had workmanship that lasted long after finishing. I wanted to be surprised for working with many contractors and construction firms and people over many years, very few would I work with again. That is why I can give you, the person who wants to work with a reliable company and does great work confidence in selecting this firm. They not only did what they said they would but did it with excellence. With heart. With care. Please read on... (and no, I am not a relative, haha). Communication and price were the keys. You get your money's worth and that is a huge plus. Let me be clear: A2C will not overcharge you. But you will not be nickeled and dimed either. In other words, you will honestly receive quality work and pay for quality. They do not do work using inferior products or believe in cutting corners. Being smart, they will find solutions, however. You will not have to worry that the materials and the workmanship are not just the right ones for the job, because they have the knowledge to know what to use, and also appropriate for the budget, timing, and aesthetics. When you work with the general contractor, Francisco, you will be happy with his attention to detail and the way he communicates. He literally is a very positive and kind man. He tells it like it is and is honest. He wants you to be happy but also understand. Sometimes it is a mystery what's behind a wall, for example. That might be a problem or not, but Francisco will show you, explain things to you, and help you make intelligent decisions. Without pressure or feeling you are asking a dumb question. Of course, his time is valuable and you will pay for that expertise. Not more than what is reasonable and proper. If you want something done on the cheap, I'd say go elsewhere, because it won't be worth it. You will love his crew because he loves his crew. They work very hard and do things the right way. Every night everything is cleaned up. Every person shows up in uniform. Every person is respectful of property. Nobody says or does something that doesn't reflect who Francisco is: once again, a man who knows his trade and appreciates the homeowner. Respect is a word that I can honestly say is how I view A2C. Respecting the work, the people, the property, and most of all respectfully wanting you to be pleased. I was and have been for many, many projects and they were not easy ones. Nor cheap ones. They were managed and completed properly. I believe you will have the same experience. Enjoy the process. You will learn and love it. Thank you.

They were on it. Since they have carpenters, mud and texture guys, electricians, plumbers, HVAC, you name it, They would send who needed to be here at what time to make the process as speedy as possible, showed up when they said they would and worked until the project was done! Everyone who was sent out was very friendly and respectful, also leaving my place clean when they left for the day. I would receive almost daily logs of who was here from what time to what time, reports of progress including photos and estimations of percentage of each piece that was left to do, and how close we were to the projected estimate. Everything turned out beautiful and works perfectly for what I wanted to use it for. I will definitely be calling them in the future with any and all construction needs. Thanks Good Guys!!

I hired Mark for a medium-sized remodeling project (about 6 weeks) . He provided a low estimate…read morecompared to other bids. He then said that his workers were all covered by Worker's Comp, among other benefits, and that he paid a fair wage, and that he was the most ethical contractor in the industry, resulting in his workers' being highly productive and efficient leading to shorter project times. This sealed the deal for me. Furthermore, he claimed that the extra 30% or so that he was billing for his workers, was due of the worker's comp insurance, which only he provided to his workers (as opposed to the many unscrupulous other contractors that were around). As a property owner, you could be held liable for workers' injuries if the contractor did not carry worker's comp, and so, I agreed to Mark's deal. Within a few days, Mark had exceeded the estimate he had quoted, and was very difficult to get hold of. Furthermore, his workers would come and go at all times of the day (between 7:00 am and 8:00 pm) and I simply lost track of how many "cooks" were in the kitchen. As of last count, I noticed some 15+ names on the invoices, and some would appear for a couple of hours, and then disappear. But Mark would send me invoices claiming that his workers spent the entire day at the property - which was simply untrue. Mark would not be interested in even listening to me or investigating my grievances. Instead, he would brag that he did me a big favor by accepting my project, and that he typically only did multi-million dollar gigs, and not pittances like mine. Long story short, the project budget exceeded the estimate by more than 100%. Mark became extremely aggressive and feisty, and it was impossible to work or reason with him. I hired a Private Investigator to find out who this person really was -- like a Dr. Jekyl Mr. Hyde. Turns out that he had been sued for fraud, but more importantly, the whole worker's comp, fairness, ethical contractor, and so on, charade, was ALL ONE BIG LIE. It also appears that Mark may have left the Better Business Bureau due to bad reviews and that he may have hired a reputation defending company to increase his Yelp reviews to 5 stars by questionable tactics. Good Guy Builders license has been suspended for Worker's Comp violations and is under investigation. After my PI reported this, I found on the CSLB site: "License is under suspension for failure to comply with Workers Comp. A workers´ compensation certificate or exemption statement may have been received by the Board but not yet processed. Once the certificate or exemption statement is processed the suspension will be lifted retroactively to the effective date of the certificate or exemption statement. Ask the contractor for proof of worker's compensation and contact the insurance company to verify coverage." Here is the URL: https://www.cslb.ca.gov/OnlineServices/CheckLicenseII/LicenseDetail.aspx?LicNum=1016932 Please see image below. This is one of the greatest betrayals where I was charged an arm and a leg, and told a romantic story of workers being taken good care of, and so on, all the while, when Mark was simply pocketing the money that was supposed to cover his workers' safety and well being. Such greed, deception, and dishonesty, in my opinion, does not deserve a second chance. You decide whether you want to hire this company and deal with Mark. --- Addendum to Mr. Santosh R's note: 1. I am a real person. I was threatened by Mark that I would be sued if I posted anything negative on Yelp. 2. Yes, I did edit my posts before finally settling on one. Anyone in my position would do the same. 3. Finally, the facts remain unchanged. Good Guy Builder's license is under suspension and this may be independently verified on the CSLB website (see link). Likewise, the lawsuits against them may be independently verified. People like Santosh and Mark are the real culprits who boost their yelp ratings in a manner that skews it in their favor - by attacking anyone who posts negative reviews, and threatening those in dispute with defamation lawsuits. Do not believe anything Santosh or Mark say. The suspension is more than ample evidence that Good Guy Builders is a crooked business and not one that you should be patronizing.
