Very good food, drink, and service at this authentic, old-style Croatian restaurant. We began with…read moreapertifs - I had the Julka Cocktail (half plum liqueur, half pear liqueur) and my husband had the Barack Palinka (Hungarian apricot brandy) - see picture below. Both were served in and drunk from small glass bottles - charming and delicious. We shared an appetizer of smoked trout on toast with sliced raw onions and creamed horseradish - well flavored and portion large enough for two to split - and a bowl of chicken and rice soup, obviously homemade. For entrees, I had the pork with eggs, tomatoes, and peppers. I would call it a pork paprikash. Quite good, served with buttered rice and a small, fresh side salad which was topped with a somewhat salty slaw mixture. My husband had the Dalmatien Platter - grilled portions of beef, pork loin, turkey medallion, and a lambchop, served with a spiced rice and similar side salad. We enjoyed a white, mineral-y Herzegovinian wine with our meal. Our waiter was very efficient and unobtrusive.
