He really went out of his way to be welcoming and reassured me that the energy was matched when I humbly said I was inexperienced. The place itself is cool and has interesting souvenirs and some pretty sick metallic helmets and satchel bags for your bikes It's located right across the way from the casino so it's high traffic and it's bustling with energy pretty much 24 hours a day In terms of getting weight tickets the first one's gonna run you 1495 but if you weigh within 24 hours comes out till like five dollars, so that's pretty cool too read more

We arrived too late for the Cuban coffee and churros because the stand was closed for the day. Regardless, this is a required stop. My only purchase was a huge slushie. I wandered around the store and noticed they sell handguns at one counter. You might ask, is this really necessary? Since many people stop at Dade Corners on their way to the Everglades for fishing, gigging, or whatever, a sidearm is not out of line. If you came across a particularly mean gator, you'd need that weapon. It is against the law to just vicariously shoot gators, but if one is climbing into your boat and fixing to latch on to your ankle, a little self defense is appropriate. This is a corner store like no other. First off it's really busy at the gas pumps. They have a really good corner right on alligator alley. There is nothing out here but the everglades. I'm sure that's one reason why it's so busy. Another reason is they have loads, and loads of goodies to buy. read more

You can buy kitschy Everglades gifts along with guns and ammo. My favorite part about stopping here is to people watch. The clientele is extremely diverse. Also we use to come here when we would go paintball shooting nearby or visiting the Trail Glades range too. This is just The spot to always STOP at. You'll be missing out if you don't. Went to put gas at nearest pump. Inserted my card, put my pin (big mistake on my part). Began pumping gas and sat in car. Went out and notice it stopped at $40.00. Clicked to get more gas and nothing came out so I thought there was a max or issue with my debit card. Soon as i took off I noticed i had no gas. Then a few minutes after i got two charges of $85 dollars. Tried calling Dade Corners and some tour company recording answered. Careful with this high traffic gas station. Lots of scimming going on and it seems they don't care to much about it. read more

Meeting spot for motorcyclists going on group rides. They have picnic tables outside so you can eat while watching your bike. Watch out for the crows. They will dive and knock the food out of your hand and then the others come down to carry your subway sandwich away, where they will eat it in front of you, but still safe from an angry biker. Good access in and out in any direction. Interesting stuff inside store, from biker gear, tourist stuff, fishing / hunting to truckers gear. All prices were reasonable. The juice and Cuban coffee stand outside were very popular. There is a subway store inside that makes subs for the crows. Last stop in many respects. Don't miss it, even if you only want to feed the crows. Don't go there if you have ever had any nightmares from watching Alfred Hitchcock Birds. Guess what I knocked them down a star! They have a pretty good little Cuban Coffee stand, a subway, cheap touristy stuff and chrome lug nut covers. What more could you want when you are on the edge of the Everglades? This place shouldn't be allowed to call itself a truck stop, maybe a "diesel stop" at best. It most definitely should not bear the name "Pilot", as normal pilot perks like free WiFi and seating areas are completely absent here. There are almost no parking spots, and even with 15-minute maxes on those spots, they're almost always full. The bathrooms are small, yet clean, yet partially broken, so they end up as a negative. Has become a Pilot Fuel Stop still known as Dade Corners. Medium size lot room for about 20 trucks. Frequent stop for locals and tourists. At this time does not have all the amenities common to pilot. Truck wash onsite Subway inside and some hot deli items. All in all was good for an older place I think the friendly staff and variety of people passing thru makes it unique. Oh they do need a bigger restroom was clean though. read more
