I was so excited for this menu that I was afraid it wouldn't live up to my expectations. Well I can confirm the Krispy Rooster is no joke! One of the best food trucks I have eaten from. We ordered kids chicken and fries, sweet potato fries, Nashville hot & honey butter sriracha and the berry lemonade all which were amazing. The flavors were perfectly paired- right amount of heat & sweet. I can't wait to try the shrimp and grits and the peach offerings next. Only suggestions would be to somehow thin the marshmallow sauce for dipping the sweet potato fries and offering wet wipes. We will definitely be back and you should make it a priority to eat here!

We had boba in mind, and Mochinut came up as the closest shop that could deliver in this regard. My rating factors in the location of the Mochinut here. While it is in the plaza on the westbound side of 56, this location lends itself to avoid the hecticness and heavy traffic that is found in the shops across the highway. Mochinut sits in a plaza is that is relatively tamer and calmer compared to the outlet area. I don't recall any tables and seating outside; if there was, it was maybe a bench or two. As you walk in, you will find a rather spacious interior with both table and lounge-like seating. There were two counter areas - one appeared to be non-operational that particular Saturday. The other (on the left as you walk in) seemed to be the main ordering counter with the displays of the mochi doughnuts. It was also interesting to see one staff manning the entire operation - not unusual for shops like this, but I can definitely see peak periods where more staffing would help. There were also two claw machines that pays out pretty cute stuffed animal prizes to include some Labubus (these machines accept both credit and cash - each game/turn costs $1). We ordered 2 boba-style drinks along with some mochi-style doughnuts. The food and beverages were a bit on the sweeter side, but it served its purpose. While not truly mochi cakes, the mochi-nuts (as the name suggests) were more on the doughy side - they were soft and offered a bit of the chewiness that mochi cakes deliver. Overall, not a bad place to just sit and enjoy for a bit. If you are in the area, whether shopping the outlets or any of the other nearby retailers, and need a quick fix of boba or something sweet, give Mochinut a try.

The counter and overhang look like a barbecue shanty inside the building. I ordered my food to go. It was around 8 o'clock at night and it was still steady business wise. There's only one negative thing I can say about the entire experience, they're short on employees. The poor young woman at the ordering counter was alone and had to wait on tables and take care of customers in the dining room, then run to the register to take orders, while delivering peoples drinks and food because much of the clientele gets food to go like me. You could tell she was frustrated, but she didn't push her frustration down on the customers. She was still very cordial. The food was very good! I elected to get the brisket basket with fries and I got an extra order of coleslaw. The brisket portion was a tad small for the cost in my opinion, but the quality and flavor beef made up for it and it was a very enjoyable meal! Probably one of the best I've had in a while to be honest. So if you find yourself in the quaint little town of Dade City, I would highly recommend stopping in and give it a try, it may have been an off night for the employee so I won't knock them for having an employee shortage.
