Day 1 - A man showed up different than the man that quoted me, but no big deal. He went into the bathroom and used a sawzall to cut the tub out as well as cut into my walls to create an opening for the shower insert. However, he didn't measure anything so he missed the stud, causing more drywall work (not included in quote). He created quite a mess and asked for a trash bag. I took him a large tote as I thought it would be more efficient. He told me he left a part at the shop and had to go get it. However, he did not have any gas money. He asked me for cash and we agreed that he would change my sink faucets for the $30 I had to give him. He returned several hours later and added the part and asked for half if the payment. I wrote a check and asked when they would be back. He informed that he didn't know he "just goes where he's told." The next morning, unbeknownst to me, they arrived in the early am. I was still asleep so they just pulled everything on my front porch and left. When I saw it all, I reached out to see if they were coming back. The lack of response and amount of days they no-showed after me taking off of work was ridiculous. I had to move the items inside on my own. I'm single and weigh about 100lbs. This was not an easy task. Both the man (Steve) that quoted me and (Lamont) who did the demo finally showed up well over a week later. They installed the shower and proceeded to cut multiple holes in my down stairs ceiling with the sawzall because "he cut in-between the wrong joist." While doing so, they did not move or protect any of my belongings. When I asked if I could move things, he said, "what, this stuff? It's just junk." It was not junk and even if it was, it was my junk. While cutting, he cut into my crown molding, and didn't even tell me. Then, they went to leave and leave all the mess they made. To fix the drywall, ceiling, crown molding was way more because of their mistakes. Not to mention, they never paid back my $30 or fixed my sink. I have tried to reach out multiple times with no response. Plus I've been told by multiple contractors that they over charged me to begin with. Way to take advantage of a single mother!

After calling 3 crawlspace repair places to get estimates. It was unanimous the repairs had to be done from inside. Called Troutman's after Yelp search of bathroom repair. He came out & surveyed damages. We discussed timeline & although they were pretty booked with jobs, he said they work me in. It would take several days- but I was fine with that. I just needed it done before buyers had their inspection. He called me later with the estimate, price was reasonable for everything they had to do. He asked if it was ok to work on Labor Day & that way they could get it all done in one day. I happily accepted. I also asked if while they had floor ripped up could they address the damaged joists under the house. (3rd crawl space person quoted me $3500 to do bathroom floor & joists!) some Bologna about the joists being "special" and he would have to order the wood to do it. I asked Troutman's if they could do the joists whole floor was ripped up. He agreed at an additional $300. Awesome!! The crew showed up on time & prepped areas with drop cloths to minimize dirt etc. they quickly got to work ripping everything except rub out. They had everything done (including joists) and new tile laid by lunch time. They went to lunch while tile dried. Once returned they finished the bathroom in just a few hours. Cleaned up & were gone they arrived at 8:30 & were gone by 4:30. The job looks great.

The person who answered, Hank, was pleasant, able to give me a general idea of what the cost would be to install a quick disconnect box and even spoke to the plumbing company who would be installing my water heater. We scheduled for Friday, April 5th at 10am. I also sent a text about the appt. at his request with my information. Friday came, and MEM's Electric was a no call / no show. I called, left a VM, and sent a text, stating that no one had showed up for the appt. While I waited for a response, I read the reviews only to see that this has been a repeat issue with this company. I don't understand why a business would so easily give a potential customer a reason to have anything negative to say. In fact, I waited 48 hours before posting a review to see if I would get a response as there is always the possibility that an emergency occurred. There are positive reviews about this business, but I want others who may be looking to use this service to be aware that this could happen to you. It is already frustrating to have technical issues in your home, so the last thing you need is another headache. Thankfully, I was able to reach another electrician the same day who arrived at my home in less than 30 minutes to complete the job.

They did everything from replacing/upgrading an electrical panel for one of our tenants to rewiring a 9,000 sq ft basement for amp-intensive business use. Mr. Adams even came out mid-summer on an hour's notice to assess a broken A/C. He identified the issue within minutes (it was a bad capacitor) and charged us for just that. Such levels of competence and honesty are extremely rare in this day & age. We now trust only this company with our building's wiring and heating / cooling.
