Daddy's plants is such a cool place. Playlist is always spot on and it just looks like a jungle in there. I like that they also added a vintage seller at the one end, it had a really vast selection. When I took my plant up they offered to pot it up for me so service is really great! So grateful to have a spot like this in Buffalo!

    Daddy's Plants - Niagara Street, Buffalo - January 2024

My mom and I stumbled upon Daddy's Plants while driving down Niagara Street and spotted a bunch of plants in the windows! We immediately turned around, parked, and marveled in all the plants inside Daddy's Plants! There are tropical plants, desert plants, and just regular houseplants that I wish I was able to purchase because the price point looked right! Unfortunately, I was in town for a short period of time and unable to take any plants on the flight out of Buffalo, sigh! I loved the indoor greenhouse and all of the variety at Daddy's Plants. The service was good despite the fact I was just browsing. Hopefully I'll return sometime and be able to take home one of the many plants I had my eyes on!

Located on Niagara Street on the West Side of Buffalo, Daddy's Plants is the perfect spot for unique one-of-Kind plants of any size. The plants can be potted or even hung. This plant I posted a photo of I bought has lasted me over a year and it still growing! I just water it a little once a week. I can't wait to go back to Daddy's Plants soon! The employees are helpful too!

The staff was great, as was the selection of plants! They have many unique plants that you won't find at Lowe's or Home Depot, and in much healthier shape. They share a space with a florist and between the two shops, the vase and pot selection is superb! The shop is hard to spot while driving as it's a shared space, but don't worry! Just park near resurgence and you will see it on foot

Such a great local spot for any plant lover. Had a great assortment of plants. Both the employees were so friendly and knowledgeable. Easy parking too with the connected lot. Makes carrying out all your plants easier. Would highly recommend has a great assortment that could would be cute gifts or just something for your living space.

I don't know why it took me so long to stop here and now I'm really regretting not doing so earlier. This store is absolutely beautiful. I got so many ideas just from walking in the front door. Every single plant here is at 100% as far as health and aesthetics go and you will not find a single brown leaf. The selection here is phenomenal and I LOVE that it doesn't reflect what Home Depot and Lowe's are carrying. I got a pepperomia happy bean and a ruby necklace for $14.00 and $25.00 respectively. It seems like they sell really common plants for a little bit more and the more high priced plants for a little bit less than most places and it results in reasonable pricing across the board. They had a *gigantic* monstera for $55 and that's the last thing I need but the price was so good that I was going to purchase it right up until the last minute and saw all of the awesome pots they carry. The guys running the show are friendly but not overbearing. It's clear that they love what they do and are committed to selling healthy, hard to find plants at great prices. Summary: wouldn't change a thing. Seriously. Nothing.

I plants, & I saw this business on twitter so I had to check out the local spot. The owner was very kind & answered all the questions I had. I purchased a spider plant & a succulent. The space is very beautiful, it's a new business so he's still getting inventory in but the displays and the varieties are pretty awesome. They share a space with wild root, and across the hall is a cat cafe which is still in the works for a opening date & a yoga shop upstairs, & a kombucha cafe not to far as well. Definitely a place to check out & support your local communities.

We went to this nursery last May and bought a bunch of outdoor shrubs/bushes: 6 rhododendrons & 2 roses - spent almost $700 in total! Unfortunately, ALL 6 rhodies died by mid-Fall, and one of the roses didn't make it through the winter. We went back to Urban Roots, bringing receipts + pictures of the dead plants, still in their mulched beds next to healthy others. It was then we first learned that Urban Roots does not guarantee any of their plants, even $69 Rhododendron! This is surprising since most or all nurseries I've been to provide at least 1 year's worth, it's notable that I've only used once in 50+ years! Anyway, selection was solid with all the expected types, and the initial experience was fine. Just beware "PRODUCTS ARE SOLD AS IS!"

The place smells wonderful as soon as you walk in thanks to a table of blooming spring flowers. I was especially impressed at the collection of seeds that included things I have not seen elsewhere (celeriac! red and purple carrots!). There is a large outdoor section too that opens up mid- to late April, depending on weather (not open yet for spring 2025 as of April 19th but will be soon). Outdoors they have trees, shrubs, perennials, bags of soil, and a nice selection of pots. During the winter they mostly have indoor plants and houseplants, so if you need your gardening fix when it's cold out, you can probably find what you're looking for here. The plants all look happy and well cared for. This community garden center is a co-op full of passionate people who truly care about the place and the plants, and it shows. You do not need to be a co-op member to shop there, but it supports the organization so if you end up becoming a regular it is well worth considering. The person I talked to here has worked there for 15+ years and was friendly and very knowledgeable. This is not like the high turnover big-box stores where the staff does not actually care about your garden success.

Everyday we listen and view the calm burbling brook and the antics of our little aquatic friends. We hired them this year to do an almost complete landscaping renual in our backyard....I didn't realize "landscaping" in their name didn't mean just Lawn Service. Some small gardens had gone wild..ground cover was out of control, some slate garden edging was completely lost in the overgrown weeds. They brought a little machine and several ambitious helpers to collect and stack the lost slate, they saved and took care not to damage the plantings we hoped to keep. Everything on our list was addressed to the Tee. They planted several new fruit trees we found they had in stock and at a local nursery. Tore out some stubborn old shrubs in front of the house we didn't know what to do with. They also took care of some old stumps the previous tree service left. I can't express fully how thrilled we are with the work. They showed up on time, they worked all day, the men were engaged, they took care to listen to our opinions and offered creative options to where the plantings would look best and how to care for them after. If I could I would rate them 7 out of 5 stars. Our backyard suddenly seems 1000 sq feet bigger... Well done Arbordale!! Thank you!

Then, a few days later, I find myself on a mission to find a certain kind of plant food. I had already checked at Home Depot while buying bird seed, but they had not had it come in for over a year and were not sure when it was coming in. I called Walmart, Loews, and two garden stores in the area too. They did not have any in stock either.
