I had one of those rare unusual experiences here. In short, not good experience with my stylist but…read morea very good customer service experience from the management and everyone else whom I encountered with. Long story! I may not return to my stylist however out of respect I wouldn't disclose my stylist name. I went in there for a consult with my frizzy hair and also wanted to do root touch up. I have had highlights from before. During my consultation, I was suggested by my stylist to do a hair keratin treatment. And she/he dint really talk about the root touch up, which was fine to me too. On my hair service day, when my root touch up was about to start, she/he asked me if I want to keep my highlights. I said yah, would like to keep my highlights. She/he also said that since some of my grey roots were longer more than about an inch, I'd be charged for a single process color $95 instead of root touch up $75. I gave my okay to that. Then work got started and all of my services were completed. Next day, I noticed several grey hairs still. I called up with my concern on the following business day. I was asked to come in so that my stylist can have a look. I went in there greeted my stylist asked how are you doing. She/he responded in a rude tone. Then after I addressed my concern, she/he went on raising her/his voice incrementally blaming me that I wanted to keep my highlights and that my greys were too long. I have to mention that I had been calm all throughout. For me it was not a big deal, it was just a minor error, which can be corrected easily. I dint go there to complain or scream at anyone, just wanted to see if that can be corrected. She/he made a huge deal out of it. She/he made me feel like it was my mistake that I had a complicated hair service request. Well, I'd say any professional's potential is tested on how one copes to new challenges. However, shout out to Teresa at customer service for the way she handled the situation. She was there to witness. She said that she'd let her manage know and gave me a form to fill up. Meanwhile, my stylist stormed out of the salon. Teresa was so empathetic! She dint assure me anything just said that she'd follow up with her manager. But, had been so compassionate throughout. It was a challenging situation for her too. She reacted so well at the situation, without taking anyones side. To me, unlike my stylist, she really thrived at her challenge! Following day, I got a call from their manager and she was really very nice as well! She set me up an appointment with another stylist to see what they can do. My second stylist tried to fix it as much as she could, which is all I wanted. Too much of unnecessary drama by my stylist. It'd have been solved right there, all she/he needed to do was tell me how you can help and if not explain to me what repercussions it may have to my hair. For the whole trauma that I had to go through, I'd have given a 1 star. However, for everyone else and everything else at this place I'd have to give a 4 star.

The location I went to was in the heights and it was a very cute salon with parking in the front. Bunmi was so quick yet very thorough with the brazilian blowout. I bombarded her with so many hair care questions, which she answered so very passionately too. She explained all the processes and steps of what she was doing. Marlin always check to see if the temperature of the water was alright for us when we were shampooing too. They were both so very sweet. I'm so glad I found them on yelp! We both love our smooth, silky hair. Bunmi also follows up and sends you tips on how to care for your brazilian blowout when you get home, so that you get the most bang out of your buck.

She knew me so well and of course always had my hair on point. Moving to Texas, I was so nervous about one of my investments that I never had to worry about before. I had to really take the time and research who seemed like a good fit for me and the look I tend to stay with. I was able to find Hintz of Color. I booked my appointment, and I am not going to lie, I was nervous as heck! I like her booking system, so easy to use. Deposit was put for my appointment. For those of you who complain about that, let me just say...appointments are their lively hood, their business, the feeding of their families. If you no show or cancel last minute, the stylist could of had someone else in that spot, potentially losing 100's of $$ at no fault of theirs. So, be courteous and respect this. As a patron, it's important to also think of businesses as if they were your own. Now, enough about that little rant of mine lol So Bunmi's salon is actually far from me. I drive 40 minutes, but remember, investment! :) The salon is upstairs in a shopping center on Bellaire Ave. It is located in the "Phenix Salon Suites." She has her own room and the vibe is there! Ok, so what the room is nice...? We'll, she got the personality and skills to back it up! She was amazing at my first appointment. Made me feel so at ease. She listened as I explained what I wanted and tend to do. She was honest, respectful, and most importantly down to earth! My hair turnout, AMAZING! She achieves the look while keeping my hair healthy! I was so thankful and blessed to meet Bunmi. She is my sister here in the HTX! I highly recommend her and can't say enough positive things about her and her work! I look forward to my hair sessions each time. I'll keep posting pics of all my hair shenanagins she is always down for! The pics speak for themselves. :)
