Hired to do a real estate caliber "deep cleaning," this company fell egregiously short of any…read morereasonable standard, both in terms of quality of cleaning service and quality of professional judgement. A medicine cabinet in one bathroom was obviously not even opened, much less cleaned. The stove was supposed to be "degreased" but upon removing the vent filter grease literally dripped to the floor. When asked to remediate their poor work, they pushed back, rules lawyering the estimate to talk about all the things that were excluded, as if the customer ought to have assumed that every square inch to be cleaned should be specifically enumerated on a full-house deep clean. At an estimate of nearly $.75 per square foot, I expected that every square foot would be clean. On the tile floor of the section vacated by my tenant, *gum* was left on the floor. Dust was left on every molding. Several horizontal surfaces of installed furniture (bookcases, desk) were not washed. As if all this were not egregious enough, they were asked to remove "trash" from the move out. This they did, though they did not remove it from the property as previously agreed. However, the judgement they showed in decided what trash was was atrocious. They removed a frosted glass soap dish and toothbrush holder from a custom fixture screwed into the wall, leaving the fixtures sticking from the wall meaninglessly. They trashed the Cambridge-issued compost containers. They trashed the manuals for various appliances carefully left out of the way for future buyers. They trashed the remote control for a lighting fixture that will only be replaced at great expense. Rather than cleaning them, they trashed *trash* cans that were fit into custom holders within a kitchen cabinet. Their performance was so inferior that I had to have another service come in to fix what was fixable (that is, the things that were simply dirty, as opposed to the things that were irremediably removed from the house). My real estate agent, who recommended the company agreed that the job was so awful that he covered the cost himself, after negotiating a steep reduction of rate. The reduction couldn't cover all the expense of fixing their manifold errors. Between cleaning the things they failed to clean and the labor and parts to replace the things that they threw away, using this service cost their estimate again to fix. I don't remember whether Yelp will allow me to post pictures of the things that weren't clean, but if so, I will.
