I've dined here a few times now, and the experience is always special. The building itself is a small converted guardhouse, and with some impressive planning the owners have managed to fit everything under the one roof. The restaurant has ten tables, and as a result you can expect a peaceful meal with attentive service from the friendly wait staff. The menu changes with the seasons, and uses a great selection of both familiar and unusual ingredients, several of which I've had to google when ordering! Despite offering only a few choices at each course, those which are presented are varied in such a way that I've always found something very much to my tastes. My last visit took in herb crusted prawns for a starter, which were juicy and plump. My main was a delicious and deceptively filling duck dish with a subtle orange sauce, served with sweet potato. The duck was full of flavour, tender and moist. Dessert was a refreshing forest fruit panna cotta. The choice of Italian white wines was good, and we opted on this occasion for a light Pinot Grigio. Living only a few minutes walk from the restaurant, I'll always continue to visit Con Gusto for special occasions, and I'm sure it'll always delight! Make sure you book ahead.

There seem to be a few rogue waiters just adding huge service charges onto the bills to bump up their income hoping customers don't notice or just saying it's standard practice which it is not - its theft and very bad for a restaurants image. Trading standards need to look into this as it's very bad practice to lie To paying customers and trick them like this. I have seen so many complaints on Google reviews and trip advisor about this and it doesn't seem to phase the management of the restaurant at all. All customers who paid these high service charges need to be refunded and compensated for this!! This restaurant should be shut down for this!

They had even cut the pizza in half and placed it on two plates since they knew we were sharing. That's service we rarely see in London! The crust was thin, crispy and slightly sweet - really good. The toppings were all fresh and the cheese was perfectly melted. Everything was reasonably priced, fresh and tasty and the service was friendly and on point. From start to finish this was a great meal. Sadly, we don't live anywhere near here or this would definitely become our regular go to for Italian.
