I was visiting family from the US. I'm a big coffee drinker and kind of picky. I walked to their…read morecafe every morning to get my coffee/espresso fix. I have had espresso before, but not like this. It was really good. The staff and owner were kind and patient with my lack of speaking the Italian language. Its not a touristy area so I'm pretty sure they don't get a lot of people like me coming in. To me, it made my first trip to Italy complete with your world famous espresso and pastries. If I can every come back I will.

I was not prepared for the quality, service, taste, carefully preparation and presentation of edibles and drinks from Italians. Nothing prepared me for this. I was taken aback completely. My bro-in-law took me, it is his goto in Lago Patria. I saw why as soon as I entered. Amazing cappachino's w the finest espresso art ever, decorated for Halloween, and great breakfast pastries served at your table outside. Cost? 8.90€. The best Home made tiramisu, ever, and I hate tiramisu but it looked sooooooooooo good. And white and dark chocolate cups my wife loved. See my pics, cool. Clean and brilliant and 4 blocks from a Roman outpost of ruins and archeological site of impressive construction called Liternum. Unfortunately much of the site was destroyed by repurposing the original materials by construction from the 18th century on. The beaches and view, if you can see it is impressive, but limited by commercialization of lido's, or beach hotels with private access. There is no requirement in Naples to allow public access. It is a primo beach with clean water, decent sand and awesome 180 degrees of views of the island of Ischia to the south and Gaeta to the north. And lower Roma(Lazio). This on was at Via Lago Patria, 83

Dropped by on a Sunday morning around 9:30am, since I was in the area and recalled this name coming…read moreup as one of the spots that served single slices of pastiera, which is baked ricotta cheesecake* with wheat berries, flavored with orange essence and bits of candied fruit (orange in Scaturchio's case). Traditionally this is eaten during Easter time, though this bakery carries it off season too. Though I carried it around for several hours in my bag, the texture was still pretty good at the end of the day, moist, strong citrus in the flavor department. Lightly sweet and rich from the ricotta. The wheatberries add a slight chewiness to the texture. They also carry a variety of other traditional desserts like rhum baba, sfogliatelle riccia and frolla, zeppola di San Giuseppe, coda d'angostura (lobster tail), cannolo Siciliano and others. The shop isn't large, pasty displays on the right, register on the left. Seating outside in the open plaza across the walkway. Service was just ok, I wouldn't say it was stellar. The ladies at the counter seemed in frowning moods, not exactly welcoming. When I didn't know to insert cash into the machine to pay, she just pointed at it until I got the idea. *I'm unsure why no websites refer to it as cheesecake and instead call it a pie or dessert filled with a ricotta cheese mixture. It looks and tastes essentially like a type of cheesecake to me...the overwhelming ingredient is cheese. Feels kinda misleading to not classify it as such bc I was under the impression that there would be more crust as a pie, of which it barely had any.

I had this place saved to get some good dessert on Amalfi and it did not disappoint!…read more Gelato from the booth opposite the main location and a cannoli from the actual cafe. Cannoli was decent - crunchy shell with creamy filling, but I've had better Cannoli in Rome. Gelato was delicious! Proper creamy and actually authentic! Got the Cioccolato con Caco del Madagascar (basically a chocolate gelato) + Ricotta Stregata (a ricotta flavor) in a cone. It was a really lovely combination and so perfect for a hot day.

This address is the main location along Via Duca Mansone I, they also have a couple other smaller chocolate and gelato boutiques, the closest being diagonally across the piazza in front of the Amalfi Cathedral. Outdoor seating set out on the stone street fronts with a cream and wood color scheme and table umbrellas for shade. The store interior shouts classic European emporium, warm, medium-tone wooden display fixtures and wall paneling with mirrors and glass. A handful of golden chandeliers and pendant lights. Most importantly--many glass displays of pastries, cakes, chocolates, cookies. The staff is forthcoming and friendly, ready to help when I mentioned looking for a snack without certain ingredients. Their English was much better than my (non-existent) Italian. I ended up purchasing a little bag of almond cookies €6, with a texture between almond cake and marzipan, baked in little mini cupcake cup shapes. They were tasty though a little on the sweet side. Prices in the store were pretty typical for Amalfi Coast though I think a little higher than average pasticcerias in other Italian cities. I had planned to drop by again to try their gelato though alas didn't have the chance again when I was there. If I ever go back to Amalfi will drop by again!
