Having eaten here a couple times since moving to the area, this restaurant serves delicious pasta dishes. The pizza is good but not great. At least it is better than Pizza Hut or whatever American pizza franchise is in the surrending area. However, for me having lived in Italy for 3 years and tasted real Italian pizza, the pizza still leaves something to be desired. Could this be because of a difference in water? German flour vs. Italian flour? Lack of fresh ingredients? No use of a wood burning over? I don't know, but I will tell you this: Unless I am absolutely craving pizza, I will just wait until the next time I am in Italy. This comment goes for all the pizza I have tasted in Germany. But for those times when I am craving pizza, Ristorante Taormina is definitely a good option. In the meantime, I'll stick to the pasta dishes, the wine, and a chance to practice my Italian if the owner is around.
