Both were well made and good to eat. The carpaccio was a generous portion, well dressed with arugula/rocket and parmesan shavings. For main course, we had the scalopini with mushrooms and tagliatele bolognese. The generous portion of bolognese was delicious served with perfectly cooked pasta. The scalopini were ok. For desert we ordered creme brulee and panna cotta. The sugar on the creme brulee is torched at the table. This was well made and delicious. The panna cotta was not fully set so it was flat on plate. It was also too sweet. This dessert should not habe been served in the state it was in as it was clearly not ready, they took it off the bill. I would possibly try the place again if in the area but not a go to for Italian food.

That's by far the best Italian restaurant we have been to in a long time. We grew up in this area…read more(Wuermtal) and have been to a lot of fine Italian Restaurants. But Villini is better than its local competition. The ingredients, the service and detail that go into every dish make this place special. The only little offside is the location and the building but their pricing is more than fair compensating for this. We will come again! Thanks for a perfect dining experience!

If I could give this place negative marks or at least a zero, I would gladly do so. Let me say that…read morethe food here is not bad and I am not rating their food as low, just the overall experience. We got there at 6.45 and after being told there was a 10-15 min wait we ended up getting seated at about 7.20, some 45 mins after we arrived. The host seated a couple he knew before us and, even though they arrived there after we did and, had no reservation like we did. That's the worst thing you can do as a host. When we got to our table we had menus straight away and things were happening and we thought ok, even though they are busy they are getting things done quickly. Once we placed our orders everything, from there on, went horribly wrong. Vorspeise took about 50mins to arrive and was getting cold and, was a dry Spaghetti Vongole. Main arrived another hour later and my wife ordered Spaghetti aglio e olio, which, on the menu said had Garlic, Olive oil and chilli with pasta (which is what this dish should be) and, it came out full of tomatoes, which she does not eat or was not expecting. Anyway that had to be sent back and was told that she would get a Quattro fromagi pasta in 3 mins and, it arrived 25 mins later after I complained. My fish main looked great on the plate and I was told it would be filleted and presented. Yes, again that took a while and my vegetables got cold. I can go on for paragraphs about everything that went wrong, but I will save it. At the end we walked up to the bar inside and paid as, we had asked for the bill 3 times and after 20 mins of waiting decided to take matters into our own hands. If you cannot handle a busy restaurant then stagger your bookings or, stop to allow the kitchen to catch up. There were so many people around us waiting for their food. The table right next to us got food delivered one at a time for a table of 4 and the average space was about 10 mins per person. The poor woman sat and waited for a good 20 mins to start eating her Vorspeise (however not sure how safe it is to have carpaccio sitting uneaten in the heat for 20 mins) waiting for the other three carpaccio's to arrive. I would never return here again even, if I am desperate. The food is not bad and perhaps under different circumstances, I might have rated the food higher. As a restaurant no matter what your origin or your staff you cannot survive without good customer service.
