While looking for lunch on 10/3/24 in our day in Belgium we passed this restaurant. I knew it was a tourist trap but they had this funny old guy shouting outside to get people in the restaurant. When I say this man was working hard that is an under statement. He was speaking at least 5 different languages to get people in the door. Well after wandering we decided we did want pasta and ate here. The prices are of course higher being a tourist trap but I will say the servings were gigantic! Neither of us could finish our pasta because I swear we got over a pound of food! The food itself was what we expected and was pretty average but we did have a good time ! read more

Huge place, and great with kids. We came with a stroller and they immediately pointed us to the section where you don't need to go up steps. They brought our little guy a Da Giovanni coloring book and box of 10 coloring pencils, highly appreciated. The pizza came extremely quickly, likely to help us feed the little ones asap. Pasta and salad were also perfectly made. Love the mood of the place, with Italian music and lovely table cloths, all in all a great place to eat. read more

I've had the salmon tagliatelle here twice, 1.5 years apart, and it was delicious both times. Haven't tried anything else on the menu, but it's always packed so if you're in the mood for pizza or Italian, I'd say it's definitely a safe bet. Not an authentic italian resto, more a food chain. They can be very aggressive in the way they approach you ; they only want to have full tables ‍ In- and outside sitting is possible. Some prices are over calculated eg Kriek Mort Subite : 6.80 euro (and no, you get no extra's) !!!! You pay 2 but you get only 1 drink Other prices : cola zero 3.60 euro, campari orange 10 euro, lasagna 16,20 euro, pizza quattro formaggi 18,50 euro and pasta pomodoro e basilico 14,30 euro (0,80 extra for tagliatelle). During the summer you can see some mouses... time to do so something against it. Check always your bill when you get it, mistakes are possible. read more

Cute outdoor pizza restaurant with lots of seating. Ioved the decor with the red and white table clothes. We had the pizza and lasagna, which were both the phenomenal. I wish I was hungry enough to try more of their pizzas. read more

I was in Antwerp for only one night, but this restaurant really made us feel like home. A bit loud, but it was Christmas time so I assume everyone was very happy. I went with my family, and we ordered 1 lt of red wine and two pizzas. The ambiance is great, you see a lot of locals and tourists hanging out in the restaurant because it offers really good pizzas for reasonable prices. I'd say I had an ok experience, and the plus is that it is located right in the center of the city. read more

For an Italian place, this place was pretty decent and reasonably priced. Standard options are: pasta, pizza, and salads. Came here for a quick dinner with friends and overall, the experience was ok. Staff was quite abrupt here and was often forgetful when we wanted to order certain beverages. As for the food, it was generic Italian food that is pretty comparable to average Italian food in the States. Plenty of seating around, so wait time was minimal. I ordered the pizza and for around 15EUR, I expected a bit more. Texture was ok, and in summary, very forgettable taste and presentation. So if you're hungry and need a quick cheap fix of Italian food, this would be a good stop for it. read more

One of the best pizzas i've tried in a long time. Granted, i've never been to Italy.. so I may be speaking out of ignorance.. but definitely worth a try. I've been to about 8 other restaurants around this area.. tried the mussels, too.. but this is my favorite restaurant here so far. The staff is very welcoming.. and there was a bit of a wait on a Tuesday night but worth it. Space is tight but i'm used to it .. living in New York and all. The pizzas are very thin, cripsy, hot melted cheese right out of the oven.. wash down w/ a duvel.. perfection. read more

Disappointing. This place stays fairly busy due to being in a tourist high traffic area. Pick one of the other hundred restaurants around. The pizza has no flavor and is served with little to no sauce. I had the chicken with arugula and my husband the meat sauce pizza. The chicken was in large chunks and bland. The cheese sure didn't look like mozzarella but there was so little I don't know that it mattered. Treat yourself and pick up a frozen pizza instead. Service was good. read more

I had a penne arabiatta and it was pretty good, service was quite fast even if it was crowded. The waitresses aren't really friendly but the price also isn't high. Haven't tried the pizzas as I've heard bad things about them. There's also room to sit outside if the weather is nice. read more

Located right in the middle of the historic part of Antwerp, opposite the cathedral and a few steps from the Grote Markt. A very popular place which means the pizzas are always fresh(students get a 20% discount on the total bill if they have a student card). Don't be put off by the waiters spruiking for customers on the pavement -- it's all part of the atmosphere. A total of 20 different pizzas (even with pineapple for those who insist on thinking Italy's in Hawaii)as well as a range of pastas (big portions). Wine by the carafe: cheap and cheerful, nothing special, and big bottles of Italian sparkling mineral water. Finish off with an espresso and a grappa (why not?). Very friendly staff, all very vocal, with Italian accents even if their mamma-mias were not from the old country. Not expensive, you'll come away with plenty of cash to have a beer or three at one of the cafes on the Grote Markt (try a 'bolleke' a favourite Antwerp beer at Den Engel) read more

Loved this cute little restaurant near the Cathedral of Our Lady. We sat outside so we could enjoy the city, we received very prompt and attentive service. The penne bolognese was exceptional; the pepperoni pizza was thin and crunchy. The crust held up for every bit. Great sauce and great pepperoni. We also had the four cheese tortellini, which was delicious but very rich. Reasonable prices for fantastic food! read more

Good service and good food. I recommend this place. The seating location is also pretty great, literally right next to the big cathedral. The employees were very nice and sometimes entertaining to watch when they try to get customers from the street. Totally recommend this place if you like Italian food. The price is slightly on the expensive side though, keep that in mind. read more

How can i say, i was AGAIN happily surprised at this excellent restaurant in the heart of Antwerp, i think its not the best Italian restaurant but certainly one of the bests in the neighborhood! please go there if you have a limited budget and want to have a great meal! read more
