I cannot say enough good things about IzzyFit. I'll write out a lot more details below, but the…read morebottom line is Izzy is wonderful and I highly recommend working with her. I started with Izzy 2 years ago, and can easily say it is one of the best decisions I've ever made for myself and my health. Prior to this, I had never been very physically active and I had always been pretty wary of gyms, trainers, etc. When I set up an appointment to meet Izzy, I was very unsure about starting and worried about embarrassing myself when working out. From my first day meeting with Izzy, not only did my cautiousness/hesitancy around personal training quickly begin to fade, but I became excited about training with her each week and building strength. Two years later, and I see Izzy twice a week for personal training and wish I could go more often. Izzy's knowledge, infectious enthusiasm, and dedication make each training session fun and motivating. She continuously shifts and updates my workout program so that I'm always engaged, challenged, and building strength and new skills. She is fantastic at modifying exercises so that they best fit my body's ability. Overall, I've learned so much about my body and how it moves over the last two years, and I can now move and lift so much more than I ever have been able to (e.g. band-assisted pull-ups, push-ups, deadlifts, and much, much more). In addition to physical gains, I also feel more comfortable in my body and more confident in my body's strength and abilities. IzzyFit is also great because of the community involved in training with Izzy. She often has two people train together for each session (although they are each doing their individualized training program). This really builds a sense of community and support around working out. She also owns and trains at TruFit, which is easily the most welcoming, body positive gym I've been to. The trainers are friendly, experienced, and encouraging, and the clientele are diverse. The gym makes clear efforts to be inclusive and to support the community. As part of this, there are ongoing fundraising opportunities to support the gym in providing personal training scholarships. All in all, I highly recommend contacting IzzyFit if you are looking for a great personal training experience. :)

We both were experiencing a lot of change (e.g. new jobs, new city, and wedding/marriage); and to us, maintaining our physical health was critical to managing all the stress. What we didn't expect was to have fun along the way! Every week, my husband and I looked forward to our Izzy workouts. Not only did we feel good physically, but we felt like a team. There is nothing better than hearing both your trainer and your spouse call out "You can do it!" as you conquer a hard workout. Izzy's creative, fun exercises had proven results. Both my husband and I felt perfect on our special day. (Thanks, Izzy. ) Fast forward to current state, I still work out with Izzy. She always finds a way to fit me in and/or be creative with our schedules. Izzy understands that training isn't just about getting physically fit. It's about helping a client be the best version of themselves.

The members in the club tend to be conscientious about cleaning up after themselves, but primarily it's because of the attentiveness of the staff. They are on the ball.  I've seen nothing but good from all of the men and people who work there. Today the great people at the desk were Myah, and Myles, and the manager, Brandon.  For me, what makes the people who work at Blink great, is the collective positive energy, the upbeat interactions, the knowledge they all express by their consistency in having answers to questions.  And when they don't have an answer, they'll research it for you. And they will HUNT YOU DOWN to get that information to you. I love that. Always hello. Always goodbye. Always a smile.  Part of that is because these are really nice, polite people with good work ethic.  But I have to believe another reason is they have a good manager coaching them a little. I've worked in and worked out at a LOT of health clubs and gyms, and I've interacted with a lot of staff and managers, and Brandon is one of the best managers I've seen. He's very approachable, and he shows up for work. He's not a manager who will "be in later, or maybe day after tomorrow." It's rare that I've gone to the club and Brandon wasn't there, and I go five days a week (I'm tired all over and everything hurts). And when he's there you know it, because he's at the front desk, not in the manager's office. And he's at the desk working, because he's also a staff member. And when he steps away, he's performing some of that constant maintenance I mentioned; wiping down, stacking weights, restocking sanitizer stations. Blink has sanitizer stations with wipes and spray. They're all over the gym, and there are a lot of them, and they're always reliably full.  I can't think of any cons for me at this club. Reasonably priced. Great gym. Great staff, great manager, and I think you'd probably get the equivalent of my opinion from anyone you asked at Blink Evanston. Thanks to the entire team for providing this kind of fitness club. So I guess no one is cleaning the showers. I only use the handicap shower because it's the one that gets used the least but the other shower stalls are completely disgusting and smell really bad. I've also noticed a wet piece of toilet paper in the handicap stall that has been here since Wednesday, it's Friday morning let's see if it's still here on Monday. The staff says hi and bye in particular Derwin is very friendly so there's a reason to give blink fitness in Evanston one star and a second star because equipment is usually all in good working condition.

She first connected me to Gittel Kanter, who helped me regain balance where childbirth and the rest of life had left me a bit short on physical confidence. She helped me remember where my strength is, and she worked diligently to support my freezing shoulder in ways that allowed me to continue challenging myself. When I needed to switch trainers due to unexpected family-related scheduling issues, Izzy helped to make the transition as seamless as possible, and I've been working with success with Amanda Newman since then. I'd recommend this gym to anyone looking for a supportive space to work out.

After years of hip and knee pain, I was told that I have a torn labrum in my hip and lots of lost cartilage in my knee. My only options were a barely helpful surgery or intense focus on building my strength. I reached out to Kenna and she took on my case with gusto. When I say that Kenna (and Sona) changed my life this is not an understatement. Kenna helped me to zero in on the small ways my body was out of alignment and correct the HUGE effects of these misalignments. I have been working out with Kenna for a year and I am now totally pain free and happily returning to endurance sports! Beyond that, I am in the best shape of my life (and I have always been an athlete). Given the pandemic, Kenna and I worked together virtually. I was BLOWN AWAY by her ability to see tiny muscle movements over the screen and to give me exactly the right prompts to correct my posture and alignment. 18 months ago, I was told by medical doctors that I would have to limit my activity and just accept that pain was my new reality. I am now blissfully pain free and ready to remain just as active for the next 40 years. THANK YOU KENNA!

Jordan, Lauren Craig and Daphne are awesome!! They spent all winter helping me with my cycling skills. They have about 20 bike trainers inside plus 3 treadmills, spin bikes and rowers. They also offer strength and agility classes. You can store your bike there during the winter months so you don't have to schlep your bike in your car on the days you want to ride. They work with training peaks so every ride you do is recorded with heart rate, calories, speed and distance. It really helps me analyze where I need to improve. They also have separate fun free events throughout the year. Girls movie night (ride while watching the chick flick of your choice) beer and bikes (ride while chugging a beer and eating snacks). These are just fun ways to break up indoor cycling rides. The fees are reasonable for unlimited rides. They also offer triathlon performance packages so you can incorporate swim bike and run with them. If you're interested in taking your training to the next level try precision multi sport.

Runners, swimmers, even the every day "non athlete" person just trying to be fit can find something here. I first came to know Precision Multisport through a winter triathlon training program I was a part of that utilized the facility for their Computrainer studio. Craig and JP have helped me train for multiple events, as well as aid me with my return to sport training after a hiatus due to injury. The studio has moved since I started trading there, and expanded. They now offer more training options, class times, etc. BASE Fitness, TRX, other training classes, a wide range of Computrainer classes, and individual trainers...all highly recommended. I truly have learned so much during my training here. The coaches are attentive, knowledgeable, and put up with me! I am not high maintenance, just hard on myself. When I go to Precision Multisport...I do not feel like I have to BE the best, I just am encouraged to TRY my best; and everyone has off days, and are well supported here. The experience, and the way the coaches are with clients, is HUGE! I don't feel like I am a part of a cookie cutter workout. Thank you PM! They often have special events and other fun things. They also put on a few of the best races in Chicagoland! I travel in from the city even to train!
