Baristi has a casual ambiance, free WiFi, patio or indoor seating, and a nice selection of traditional and specialty coffees, tea, infusions, iced or hot, etc. They also have a nice selection of baked goods and some other food menu items, freshly made as opposed to previously frozen and thawed like at Star****. Prices are very reasonable, parking at the Plaza is secure, and Baristi is surrounded by bukoodles of other shops, eateries, and even a movie theater, making it a great stop while walking around with your friends. I enjoyed Baristi coffee several times during my stay in the area.

I came alone but this would be a good spot for a group to work as well. I tried their classic matcha and I admit I was a bit scared when I first saw how light the color was... however I was pleasantly surprised after the first sip. The classic matcha does come unsweetened and this day I choose to not add a sweetener so I could get a feel for their matcha. It was a 3/5, not too bold, and I did pair it with oatmilk. The oatmilk wasn't as creamy as I would have liked to tie the drink together so it did feel a bit watered down. The matcha itself was very earthy, had to keep swirling it to get the matcha powder that settle at the bottom to mix in. I would try this with just a bit of honey next time or regular milk to see how it improves flavor. I don't remember how much I paid for it... but regardless, it was a good drink so I'm not upset about it! The only thing I didn't like at this spot was how loud the music was. It felt a little drowning. I don't think if I had someone in front of me we could hear each other without having to raise our voices. Other than that, the A/C was okay. It wasn't super warm inside but also not cold. It was a good ambient temperature. The staff were relatively polite. The vibe was... weird (a little condescending) but not too disturbing where it would make me not want to return. Perhaps they're just awkward. I would compare what they offer to Starbucks, Juan Valdez, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf or Tim Horton's. I personally enjoyed D'Volada more than most of these mentioned. I don't enjoy the dark roast coffee (which they do offer), so I was glad to find they also have a great medium roast. Their prices are definitely much better. I mean, why does a simple cup of coffee have to cost $4??? Here prices are much more reasonable. They offer American style coffee, specialty coffees, frappes, cappuccino, expresso, lattes, as well as various teas and other drinks. I really enjoyed their chai latte. D'Volada also offers bagels and sandwiches. Check out their website for a complete menu. I thought the decor was especially noteworthy. Modern and classy. One wall has a mural. There are plenty of places to sit and chat with friends or to take advantage of the free WiFi and get some work done. Or if you really are on the volada, you can always use the drive through. The two young men I saw working there were both very friendly, engaging and professional. Whenever I am in the Tijuana area I will be sure to visit D'Volada again.
