I'll be honest, I haven't personally had an experience of this place as I don't drive. However, a…read moregood friend of mine recently purchased a used Ford Focus Estate from Bristol Budget Cars. At first, everything seemed to be fine. Then after a couple of days we all started noticing the smell. The smell of death. He completely and thoroughly cleaned the entire car, inside and out. Still the smell of death. The next thing that happened was that whilst driving along, £40 suddenly fell down from the steering column. Very strange. Then the whole car proceeded to fall apart, piece by piece. I think that by now, my unfortunate friend has had to spend more on fixing the thing than it actually cost him in the first place. It all seems a bit dodgy to me, but of course this could be an isolated incident. I'll leave you to make up your own minds.

Within 3 days, it was evident that there was a serious problem with overheating. 2 returns later the problem persisted. Then we were told it was a problem with brakes sticking - a blatant lie and not credible. Asked for refund which was refused. Needed independent inspection, many calls to credit company and to Edwards. Finally, refund given although did not settle for whole amount and we had run out of patience. Just glad to finish due to amount of hassle, Jason Edwards refusal to discuss, missing appointments, dragging his feet and outright lying about the vehicle. Be warned. Do not ever, ever buy a car from this man. I would leave a NO star review if I could.

But the person attended told me to contact a private insurance company because they only do woks in first month and for next 2 months I have to contact and arrange with insurance company . It isn't clear to see from glance, but they do actually offer a large range of cars, and they say that if you can find the car you are looking for then they will find it for you. In addition, they also buy cars from customers. From the front, the establishment looks crowded and dated, however the service you receive is better than most garages. I did also find that some of the cars didn't have their price displayed on the dashboard which I found a little irritating. The staff at Staple Hill Motor Co. are extremely friendly and welcoming. They in no way pressure you to purchase anything, and don't hassle you while you are browsing which is important to me.

Bought my car from the Cardiff dealers- a VW Golf Slowest…read moreservice ever- 3 hours to sort car and paperwork. was there 9am- 12.30pm Very pushy on credit and not happy wanted to pay cash for car. Car was great but so many problems. There was a leak in the coolant section of the engine which they missed when sold me the car. You expect car to be checked before given but they state standard service before being given car is top up oil only. They took the car off me for a week to check it out and with no car replacement until i demanded and argued with them to get one for 24 hours. In the end, they couldn't find leak but claimed water holder had a hole. I paid to get this fixed.Approx £80 for part only. Labour included After 5 bottles of coolant on a 2010 Golf I took my car to VW Dealers who only looked at the top of the engine and could see the problem. Shame on Carshop!!! I have the view now that ye are cowboys and will not go back to ye for anything else. Highly recommend to avoid this place unless you a mechanic yourself who can spot issues before buying.

I've also had to use their workshop a couple of times and I've got my car back when they said, all nice and clean. The downside is the fact that they continually push their service plus option onto me. I almost snapped the last time they told me about it. I'm sure the commission is great for them, but it's really annoying for a consumer who doesn't want it and has repeatedly told them so!
