Despite the terrible pun-like name, and the architectural crime that is East Kilbride's St James' Retail Park where this cafe/deli is located, D'lish is a wonderful gastronomical treat in the Hairmyres area of the town.
Always busy at lunchtime with local office workers and families filling up on baked potatoes, filled baguettes, sandwiches or daily specials - all prepared to order in front of you.
A daily changing offering of tray bakes and cakes are available to accompany a coffee. The ice cream is also excellent and good value.
There's a large seating area where you can have a sit down meal from breakfast through to early evening dinner. D'lish also stocks a range of foodie gifts, like speciality pasta, tins of Italian coffee, and non-food gifts like Arran Aromatics toiletries and scented candles.
Friendly staff and good hygiene practices makes D'lish highly recommended (the food prep staff don't handle money like so many other places - you know those places where they think the plastic gloves are to protect their delicate hands rather than for public health reasons? Thankfully you won't find that here!) read more
