I plopped my little guy in the tub and was able to take my time washing and conditioning his hair. What a dream come true! They have industrial strength dryers and he dried in like 15 minutes - amazing. I used their brush and grooming scissors to trim a little of his hair off. Since my peanut is almost 14, he was having trouble standing so I couldn't do the full trim I was hoping to, but that's on us, not Pet Paws. They are providing an amazing self service option and I cannot recommend them enough to anyone needing a nice place to go to bathe their pup. I cannot wait to go back!! Pro tip - do not miss the delicious smelling finishing spray!! Heavenly scent!

Since it was my first time going, the owner Phyllis gave me the rundown: there are three self serve tubs with different shampoos and condtioners. The tubs are raised and have a hose, which is nice, so you can easily stand while you give your dog a bath. Pet Paws is $15-per-dog, the price isn't contingent on time- a good deal for bigger dogs, maybe not as much for smaller ones. They also have a dryer station with different brushes for after the wash. What I like about Pet Paws is the convenience- its nice to be able to wash your dog and not have to deal with the "clean up" afterward- cleaning up the tub and washing the towels- all that jazz. Definitely will be back to Pet Paws!

While both of my dogs needed booster vaccinations, I did not think that the cost would be such a big deal since both of my dogs were medically "up to date" in the Spring. When I picked up my two dogs, my bill for 2 days for 2 dogs + boosters was $1,500. That's right, $1,500. Shame on everyone who works at this place and takes advantage of desperate people. I can only hope that my words of warning can save another pet family from this outrageous abuse.

My dog immediately choked up kibble, and within about 30 minutes of getting him back to my hotel, I had to request input from my vet back home and immediately take him to the ER Vet where he had to spend the next almost two days. He had aspiration pneumonia. They of course denied the entire thing and when I went in to view the camera footage they had, they had a clip of the footage that was about 1:30 seconds long that had been cut to not show me going over to my dog where he has choked kibble up. I called immediately when I got to the hotel room, as I didn't want to react immediately due to the emotion involved. They of course have denied everything. I've stayed quiet about this incident for almost a year now because I honestly thought maybe they'd own up to their (maybe) mistake and do what was right and help cover what I had to pay for. I am active duty military and have to travel to Lexington frequently for clinical. I trusted this business with my furchildren and they failed. I just truly hope that next time this happens, the outcome isn't different. Had I waited until the next day to take my pup to the vet, he most likely would not have survived. Within hours he was on oxygen at the ER vet. I've been dealing with their insurance company since January and they will not be covering anything. This is honestly, the outcome that I expected, as both Uptown Hounds and The Hanover Group did not display much professionalism. The worst part is, they won't even refund me the amount of services that I paid for and will never receive for my dogs. I truly hope no one else has to deal with this situation.

The staff are so kind and flexible with travel changes (if you need to pick up earlier or stay an extra night) which is really helpful when flying. They have a great pre-check feature where you can give a lot of detail on your dog's stay. I typically send toys that I don't mind losing just as a precaution, but they've never lost anything I've sent with my dog and everything comes back neatly packed in his bag. I don't worry about my baby at all while he is at Uptown.

My wife and I travel often, and sometimes (especially when work-related), we have almost no notice. There has never been a time Lisa could not fit our dogs in. The staff there knows our dogs by name, and genuinely seem as excited to see our dogs as our dogs are to see them. Our dogs get nail trims and baths before coming home and my family and I look forward to come-home day as it is nice having clean dogs, especially in the car. It smells and looks like she's been laying in her own urine. I board her very regularly but the normal one was full, she has NEVER came home smelling or looking like this even after a week of kenneling. The smell was so strong I couldnt stand having my windows up or down, it just blew it around. I called and they did offer me a refund but I'm terrified she's going to follow suit of the other reviews and be sick. They offered to give her a bath if I brought her back which I kindly declined. I would not trust them with her again. She attempted to blame the smell on the fact it had rained but this isn't wet dog smell, it's pure urine. And on another note - they do not leash dogs when you drop them off or pick them up. It seemed odd when I dropped her off that I had to insist the girl leave a leash on because she wouldn't follow her without it. Then when I picked her up, a giant huskie was let out into the lobby completely unrestrained. This isn't safe and it's not appropriate. There could have been children, or other dogs, or anything that would make for a dangerous situation with an unknown and very large dog. I would NEVER recommend taking your pet here.
